The damage Democrats have done to the Economy and Anti-Business decrees Obama has made will take time to undue, if they can be undone at all, given the republicans ONLY have 1/2 of Congress and Only 1 month on the job.

They did try to save America from the Job Killing Obamacare law by a repeal vote but Democrats Obstructed and Blocked it. The CBO says Obamacare will Kill 800,000 Jobs.

'Recovery Summer' Ends With Economic Pothole

by Scott Horsley
September 3, 2010

Whatever happened to recovery summer?

This was supposed to be the season the economy heated up, thanks to a wave of public works projects, funded by the government's stimulus program. But summer is coming to an end, and the recovery has not taken root.(The Labor Department on Friday reported a slight rise in the unemployment rate to 9.6 percent in August as more people were looking for work.)

And before long, stimulus dollars will be fading like autumn leaves.

None of that is encouraging for President Obama, who launched the summer with a crew in hard hats in Columbus, Ohio, on June 18...

Obama Hopes ‘Recovery Summer’ Will Warm Voters to the Stimulus

By MICHAEL COOPER
Published: June 18, 2010

The shovels are finally ready. But is anyone paying attention?

With a flurry of stimulus construction work getting under way about 16 months after the $787 billion package was signed into law, the Obama administration has billed the coming season “Recovery Summer.” This week, the administration issued a report on the stepped-up pace of work, rolled out Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. to brief reporters on its progress, and President Obama went to Columbus, Ohio, on Friday to laud the 10,000th stimulus-financed highway project.

For all the talk of “shovel-ready” infrastructure projects when the stimulus first passed, construction projects made up a comparatively small slice of the package, and many required considerable administrative spade work — planning, permitting and contracting — before actual dirt could be turned. The stimulus initially injected money into the economy mainly through tax cuts and aid to states and individuals.

Now that the long-promised “road work ahead” is here, in big numbers, the question is whether voters will warm to the stimulus. The stakes for the Obama administration and Democrats are high, with the midterm elections approaching and many voters, Tea Party supporters and otherwise, incensed about spending.

RESULT = 10% Unemployment and Millions so Discouraged, they left the work force.

Obama, Biden declare 'Recovery Summer'

By MIKE ALLEN
6/17/10

Vice President Joe Biden today will kick off the Obama administration’s “Recovery Summer,” a six-week-long push designed to highlight the jobs accompanying a surge in stimulus-funded projects to improve highways, parks, drinking water and other public works.

David Axelrod, a senior adviser to the president, said:“This summer will be the most active Recovery Act season yet, with thousands of highly-visible road, bridge, water and other infrastructure projects breaking ground across the country, giving the American people a first-hand look at the Recovery Act in their own backyards and making it crystal clear what the cost would have been of doing nothing.”

Biden, President Barack Obama and other administration officials will travel to more than two dozen Recovery Act project sites in coming weeks. On Friday, the president will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to mark the groundbreaking of the 10,000th Recovery Act road project to get under way. The administration says the road improvement project in downtown Columbus is expected to create over 300 construction jobs, and will contribute to a broader economic development effort in the area around Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

On Monday, Biden will travel to Midland, Mich., for the groundbreaking of the new Dow Kokam advanced battery manufacturing facility – a project made possible by a $161 million Recovery Act advanced battery grant awarded last year. In addition to creating 1,000 construction jobs, Dow says the project will eventually employ 800 permanent manufacturing workers.

ONE PROBLEM: The Economy needs a few 100 thousand Jobs created EACH MONTH Just to Maintain and Obama seems to think 800 will do at the cost of Billions Borrowed. Uh, NO!

Why Has the Obama Stimulus Failed?

The centerpiece of Obama’s short-term stimulus program was $862 billion in poorly targeted tax cuts and ineffectual spending increases he signed into law in February 2009, since supplemented by a number of smaller budget-busting “jobs” bills, including the most recent, a $26 billion state aid package. Obama had one big shot at really helping the economy and he took it, holding nothing back. As short-term economic stimulus, it was doomed from the outset because it was based on the erroneous assumption that deficit spending can increase total demand in a slack economy.

The theory underlying Obama’s stimulus was that the economy was weak because total demand was too low. The suggested solution is then to increase demand by increasing government spending, exploding the deficit in the process.

This theory of demand manipulation through deficit spending ignores the simplest of realities: Government spending must be financed. So to finance deficit spending, government must borrow from private markets, thereby reducing private demand by the same amount as deficit spending increases public demand. In effect, the theory says that if I take a dollar from my right pocket and put it in my left, then I’m a dollar richer. No wonder it always fails.

Obama's 'emergency' economic plan

By MIKE ALLEN
8/1/08

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on Friday announced an “Emergency Economic Plan” that would give families a stimulus check of $1,000 each, funded in part by what his presidential campaign calls “windfall profits from Big Oil.”

Details are in this six-page policy paper.

The first part of Obama’s plan is an emergency energy rebate ($500 to individual workers,$1,000 to families) as soon as this fall.

“This rebate will be enough to offset the increased cost of gas for a working family over the next four months,” Obama said.“Or, if you live in a state where it gets very cold in the winter, it will be enough to cover the entire increase in your heating bills. Or you could use the rebate for any of your other bills or even to pay down debt

Separately, Obama’s plan includes a $50 billion stimulus package that his campaign claims would save more than 1 million jobs.

Half of the money would go to state governments, which are facing big budget shortfalls, and half would be used for national infrastructure, including replenishing the Highway Trust Fund, rebuilding roads and bridges, and repairing schools.

Obama announced his plan 27 minutes after a Labor Department report showed unemployment hit a four-year high of 5.7 percent in July — the highest rate since March 2004, when it was 5.8 percent.

Obama's ON THE JOB TRAINING: "No Such Thing as Shovel-Ready Projects"

October 13, 2010
Posted by Stephanie Condon

With unemployment hovering near 10 percent nearly two years after President Obama signed his economic stimulus package, Mr. Obama is acknowledging that, despite his campaign promises, "there's no such thing as shovel-ready projects."

The president gave that remark in an hour-long interview with the New York Times.

Mr. Obama also told the Times that he should have "let the Republicans insist on the tax cuts" in the stimulus, rather than including them himself, so the package would have seemed more like a compromise. The stimulus package, which the Congressional Budget Office said this year will cost $862 billion, included $236 billion in tax cuts. Nevertheless, the president said in the interview that he comes across as "the same old tax-and-spend Democrat."

When the president campaigned for the stimulus package at the start of his presidency, he and others in his administration repeatedly insisted the investments would go to "shovel-ready" projects -- projects that would put people to work right away. As recently as August, however, local governments were still facing delays spending the money they were allocated from the stimulus, CBS News Correspondent Nancy Cordes reported.

While Republicans have cast the stimulus, and most of Mr. Obama's other policies, as failed initiatives, the president told the Times he expects more cooperation from Republicans after the midterms.

"It may be that regardless of what happens after this election, they feel more responsible, either because they didn't do as well as they anticipated, and so the strategy of just saying no to everything and sitting on the sidelines and throwing bombs didn't work for them," he said. Ha Ha Ha!

Obama promises more than 600,000 stimulus jobs
Published: June 8, 2009 3:05 AM
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

President Barack Obama promised Monday todeliver more than 600,000 jobs through his $787 billion stimulusplan this summer, with federal agencies pumping billions intopublic works projects, schools and summer youth programs.

The Obama administration has claimed that the $787 billion economic stimulus package "saved or created" some 650,000 jobs. But almost as soon as the White House trotted out this figure, news organizations found huge exaggerations in the reported data. Many of the jobs reportedly created do not exist or cannot be accounted for.

BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS UNEMPLOYMENT STARTING IN JUNE 2009:

June - 9.5%
July - 9.5%
Aug - 9.7%
Sept - 9.8%
Oct - 10.1%
Nov - 9.9%
Dec - 9.9%

Karma will always come back to bite these unpatriotic and hateful right-wingers in the ass. But it will be the idiots that always vote against their own best interest (when they vote republican) that will suffer the most.

The republicans used bigotry and hate to get these tea-baggers worked up and out to the polls last November; and now that hate will turn around and devastate their pathetic lives… KARMA!

As long as the Healthscam bill is around, jobs will not be created. Commiecrats in the Senate, who voted against repealing the bill know this. In essence, they are intentionally keeping unemployment high.

It's pretty bad when a governor has to admonish the president as Chris Christie did yesterday. Who's leading who? No wonder we are in trouble when a Governor from NJ is ten time smarter and on the ball then our goofy "pie in the sky" president.

The bottom-line, is when he returned to the USA to continue higher-ed, he decided to keep his Muslim/ Indonesian rather than institute his naturalzation.

Probably for two reasons:

1) To secure foreign-national status for collegiate loans.(thief)

2) Because he didn’t want to register for ‘selective-service’.(coward)

Doesn’t matter where the f’n [POS] was born, he’s a [POS] anyway.

That is why he [IS NOT RECOGNIZED AS PRESIDENT] by the Constitution- or me.
