No one likes what has happened but there is no choice but bailout at this point. More oversight should be put into place to prevent this from continuing.

I do not know what the homeowner's protection part of the bill will consist of but all those individuals that are at the brink of losing it all needs help.

Taking money from others without their consent has been referred to as STEALING for quite some time. There used to be penalties, including jail, for those convicted of those crimes.

It is very difficult to see any difference in the actions by Chambliss, Isakson and the other Senators as they voted to take about $10,000 from every man, woman and child.

The purpose? To bail out people who because of a thirst for power, greed, stupidity and/or outright theft created this financial crisis.

I hate to say this but it is apparent that our politicians are not public servants. They take our money to maintain power, finance their pet projects, schemes, etc. and pad their pockets as well as those of their cronies.

Years ago, this kind of "To H___ with the people" government was a major factor in some of the locals in Boston having a Tea Party.

Its ok to bailout the banks with no restrictions and to impose every retriction they can think of on the automakers. I don't get it. Maybe all of our lawmakers need to give up their goverment issued cars and their huge paychecks. They have not idea what it takes to get by. Maybe they need to work for $1 a year until things get better. After all they are working for the people of the US. They just keep takeing and give up nothing.

Marshall does not have both oars in the water or is to dumb to know the difference.

What a stupid man. He thinks people will forget about his stupidity before he comes up for re-election again....can't blame him though, he'll will have stolen millions by then, probably.
