On Capitol Hill today , House Democrats unveiled their $1.5 trillion plan for health care reform , a sweeping plan that was quickly endorsed by President Barack Obama , who wants Congress to pass legislation before the August recess.

Liberalism leads to dependency, a hatred for those that succeed, and the imposition on people that success is evil.

And it's why the Liberals are spending trillions of dollars and forcing more debt on us WHILE, AT THE SAME TIME, increasing taxes and regulations that will slow down the economy and prevent a recovery (meaning success.)

What the liberals did to the inner cities is what they are trying to do to the whole country.

That's right and the real reason the liberals are doing this is to eradicate the middle class. The middle class cannot exist very well under all of this liberalism.

It sounds good to tax the millionaires, but a 1 or 2% surcharge for being rich isn't going to cover the trillions this will cost. So it will be necessary to drop that millionaire number to, let's say, the $200K per year rich people. Then on down to only the wealthiest half of the country, those making more than $47K, the median income. And, as I understand it, you will be taxed on any health insurance provided by your employer. The democrats are telling us it's a light at the end of the tunnel and not a train. I hope they are right.

Socialized systems have been in place in Europe and the UK for ages and now even the US. We all pay taxes so everyone can get an education, be protected by the police and be able to use public facilities and services.

Unless the population growth is slowed down or reversed, the pressure for universal health care will mount as the majority find it difficult to obtain and pay for medical treatment. The time has come to deal with this problem.
