Obama criticized for 'retreat' on Armenia

President Barack Obama on Friday broke a campaign pledge but mollified Turkey by formally remembering the mass killings of Armenians without using the diplomatically loaded term "genocide." In a much-anticipated White House statement, Obama took note of the "great atrocities" that occurred in the Ottoman Empire from April 24, 1915, until 1923.

As an American of Armenian descent, and a grand-daughter who knows her late grand-father was not a liar when he recounted his story of our genocide, for the life of me, why can't folks move on? All the excuses, blah, blah, blah, about whether it is genocide or what, should not be the point. The point THAT SHOULD BE THE FOCUS IS: learn from it and don't repeat it.
From what I surmise, that is not happening. Why? There are innocent folks being murdered by governments all over the world, INCLUDING OURS, and no one will get their heads out of their a$$es. I guess it is easier to just whine than face today's brutal reality that words don't kill, GOVERNMENTS KILL.
Any of you pathetic bright eyed scholars notice the chem trails in the sky? Notice, the poison called flouride in the water? Notice the huge prison population?Notice the poisons in our foods? Notice the wholesale looting of our society? Ever read the comprehensive annual financial report and realize GOVERNMENTS ARE SO RICH, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED FOR MOST TAXES IMPOSED ON US?
Of course not, the poisons from the chemtrails, the flouride in the waters, the poisons in our food has effectively dumbed most folks down, so these B.S. statements get folks distracted and thus, stop searching for the TRUTH.

One more point and this is a very important point:
The constitution and bill of rights does not apply to anyone except those of the posterity.
It is written in plain sight, right in the preamble. If one is not a relation to the men who signed the Constitution, then the laws don't apply to you and me. Don't you all get it?
If we demand a "right", then we must pay the "BILL". Get it?
I am only pointing out the truths that are in our faces and deliberately ignore it.
Example: Big argument regarding the 16th amendment. Did it get ratified or not.
Well, you college ejucated morons, ratification isn't the point here. Have you ever heard of the term "silent aquiescence? Sorry if I misspelled it. Anyway, the states that would have voted against ratifying this were prevented by authorities from gathering for a vote in their state legislatures, thus, the amendment was ratified by their silence,(being forced to do so doesn't count). So, you see, it shouldn't be what governments say, it should be what governments DO!!!!!!!!!!
Get past the word fights and seek the truth so that you live as a free man or woman.
Words do nothing but divide when we should unite. That is the lesson we must learn, the lesson the creator is watching to see if we have learned it.
From what I read in comments sections for most stories, all I see is DIVIDE.

Freedom lover, I get what you are saying but you are a little off track in your comments about our constitution. Unlike you I can trace my heritage to people who were somehow involved in the events that formed this nation. I do not read what you are attributing to the intents and guarantees in that document. I will say that the current administration, Congress and government in general are doing what they can to twist and often break the freedoms and rights contained therein. However my reading grants those privileges to all of whatever heritage who have come here legally and especially those who fled tyrannies elsewhere.

As to the Armenian Genocide, Barack Obama is more interested in appeasing those of the Muslim faith and I am not surprised. Look for a major breach of our ties to Israel as well. Barack Hussein Obama is beginning to live up to his middle name. I am surprised that his first name isn’t Vladimir which fits his economic perspective. He does not love America nor those who are truly grateful for the opportunities we all should be enjoying here.

No offense to Armenians but what does this have to do with America? This is something that must be resolved between Turkey and Armenia. Lets say Obama say Genocide? What now? norman moore, you are missing the point. Go and read the preamble. It states CLEARLY, the constitution was written for the posterity, to protect them from US COMMON FOLK. Not arguing, just stating plain facts.
My writings were meant to make one think and research, not anger and divide. Who cares what a worthless bloodsucker says (poly=many, tic=blood sucker). Obama can't say a damn thing without his handlers consent. So, really, who cares.

The Armenia community should realize that Blacks are still waiting for their 40 acre and mule, and many of their ancestory were killed, maned, etc. The fact the president did not use the word genocide does not say, the President did not acknowledged the Era. Currently, I am seeing Armenia flags flown every where, and people need to realize that this is America. If you going to raise your flag then raise the American flag as well. It is disrespectful to Americans. Again, the President acknowledged the era. Now, he's busy trying to get Americans back to work. If any Politicians are outrage then resign, and go to that country and take up the issue. In the meantime, lets get back to America's business.

Sorry, but this is not a good answer. Armenia was invaded. The Turks slaughtered them and the Armenians fled. For example many Amenians now come from Russia.
