The hand-picked successor of former Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords pulled nearly even with his Republican challenger Friday as more votes were tallied from the election.

USA Today on Friday's cover proclaims "Gifford shooter lost"?!

I read in other more respectable sources that many suspect Giffords was not the target, but Judge John Roll.
