Even the reasonable Left rejects Stark's diatribe

There are 1 comment on the Ely Daily Times story from Oct 31, 2007, titled Even the reasonable Left rejects Stark's diatribe. In it, Ely Daily Times reports that:

“Rep. Stark SHOULD NOT apologize. He was absolutely right and I believe in "Free Speech". Pete tells the truth and the warmongers get upset. Well, live with it.”

I used to enjoy Keith Olbermann's ironic view of the world when he was a sportscaster. via Ely Daily Times

Mr. Watts,
Your contempt of Congressman Stark is quite evident.

Below is a list of Congressman Stark’s qualifications in contrast with yours.

Congressman Stark received a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953 served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1957. After leaving the Air Force, Stark attended the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and received his MBA in 1960. In 1963, Stark founded Security National Bank, a small bank in Walnut Creek. Within 10 years it grew to a $100 million company with branches across the East Bay. Stark grew up as a Republican, but his opposition to the Vietnam War led him to switch parties in the mid-1960s. He printed checks with peace signs on them and placed a giant peace sign on the roof of his bank's headquarters.

Mr. Watts these were your qualifications.
After graduating from high school in 1976, Watts was recruited by and attended college at the University of Oklahoma. You earned MVP honors in both games. You graduated in 1981 with a BA degree in journalism. Between 1981 to 1986, you played professional football in the Canadian Football League. Apparently you were very gifted as a football player.

I think it is really sad when institutions of higher education and people are more influenced by athletics instead of academics. Your name is widely recognized more so then Congressman Stark’s. The majority of physicians I work with recognized your name
However did not recognize Congressman Stark’s name.

Congressman Stark is passionate about serving the people. Perhaps he is not quite as eloquent in his speech when addressing injustice.
Your qualifications for Congress seemed to be a result of name recognition. Your skills as a football player have served you well.

However I believe you are guilty as well of rude and cruel remarks. Apparently you have forgotten the State of the Union speech you gave in 1997. You chastised some black Democrats and civil rights leaders as "race-hustling poverty pimps", whose careers you remarked, depend on keeping blacks dependent on the government.

In 2004, you became a spokesman for National Grants Conferences (NGC), a group that offers through infomercials access to millions of dollars in government subsidies. Many articles have been written citing the NCG as a scam targeting African Americans with you as there spokesperson.
