I heard the dialogue on this meeting which was aired by a bay area radio station. Indeed this guy Pete Stark is vulgar, arrogant and has no tolerance for anyone disputing his far left views. He is one of many of our so called representatives who fit into a similar category. Nancy Pelosi is another one and she is totally arrogant and overbearing, she believes that you must enact a bill to find out what is in it. This especially applies to the Obamacre health plan which has been revealed to be a real sack of garbage which will push us closer to the brink of financial collapse and will substitute government controlled medicine for the finest healthcare in the world which we enjoy right now. Then we have George Miller who has been a Congressman for 35 years and he was one of the authors of the Obamacare bill and he is truly one of the great Kings of Pork. Pete Stark has been in office for some 38 years. Senator Boxer also fits into the category of arrogance and needs to be replaced in November, indeed she has no real accomplishments during her 12 year tenure in the Senate.
So indeed part of the blame for poor government must fall upon the voter who dutifully keeps voting for these losers year after year after year! What is wrong with these voters? Do they have no concern over the sharp downhill trajectory we are on?
These same voters keep voting in their state Representatives and Senators, are they totally oblivious that the state of California is on the brink of economic collapse?
I sure hope and pray that the voters will spend a little more time finding out about our present representation both in Sacramento and Washington prior to voting in November. There are a lot of far better choices out there than the people currently representing us!

Everyone should avail themselves of Pete Stark's arrogance, sarcasm and condescension at the Town Hall meeting. The walking, talking sack of SH** has been in Congress for 36 years too long and is the clearest example of government tyranny and taxation with NO representation.

You think this bloviating windbag works for us??? Au contraire, this arrogant ***** thinks we exist at his pleasure.
Anyone who would vote for this tyrant should be deported along with the illegal aliens he loves so much.
Clearly this man has nothing but disdain for law abiding American citizens who not only pay his exorbitant salary, but who will support him with an annual multi-million dollar benefits package for the rest of his miserable, worthless, life.

Pete Stark Is only 1 of many who were elected by the people of california, carring this elitetist type attitude. They do not represent the people of which they were elected. I find it troubling when an elected official is asked by his own constituents a tough question about an issue that is percieved to real issue, they are mocked and chided without ever answering the question. I find it totally un-proffessional of a politician give a sarcastic statement simply because the man asking had identified himself as associated with the MinuteMan group. Mr. Stark should realize that he serves All the people not just a select group in his district. I cannot believe the people of his district would elect such a man for another term in office. November is comming I would advocate voting ALL of these people out of office , it's obvious to me they don't represent the PEOPLE'S views, nor do they care.

Stark said, "And how would you secure it?" Stark asked. "Tell me. I'm not the government."

Could it be that Stark was absent the day they taught about the three branches of federal government in his high school civics class?

Stark Naked is obviously smug in his position largely due to the extremely insecure voting system in California where anyone can get a voter registration application from the Post Office, fill it out and mark the "permanent absentee voter by mail" segment and mail it in. Chances are excellent that no one will check the applicant's citizenship or eligibility status and come a few weeks before election day, will send out the absentee ballots. When the completed ballots arrive back, there is so much chaos with the various county voter registration offices that there is usually no resources nor time to check the validity of ballots.

Stark is probably leaning on that weakness in the system so illegal aliens can vote for him while voting themselves largess from the state and national treasuries.

From "The Devil's Dictionary" by Ambrose Bierce

"POLITICS, n. A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles. The conduct of public affairs for private advantage.

POLITICIAN, n. An eel in the fundamental mud upon which the superstructure of organized society is reared. When he wriggles he mistakes the agitation of his tail for the trembling of the edifice. As compared with the statesman, he suffers the disadvantage of being alive."

Ms Miller gives the game away with her snarky coment about the "thousands of troops and the fence." Indeed, that is not only feasible but likely to work.

How many times has The Reporter endorsed Fortney Stark in the past? When will The Reporter fess up about their slavish support of all things "democrat?"
