US Foreign Military Sales Top $65 Billion

US Foreign Military Sales Top $65 Billion
WASHINGTON: US foreign military sales are growing so fast the Pentagon can't keep its PowerPoint slides updated -- and they may well grow still more if a Defense Department policy easing exports of unmanned aircraft to 66 countries gets interagency and Congressional approval.

DSCA oversees -- at last count -- 12,901 FMS cases involving 224 countries and international organizations. Almost every nation on Earth now buys US military gear, excepting only a handful of countries like China and Vatican City. DSCA has even started organizing inter-agency "expeditionary requirements generation teams" that visit foreign countries to help them assess their needs, define their requirements, and submit a formal "letter of request" for an arms deal to the US; the five countries visited so far include both the Philippines and Iraq."

Read also that a private bus company gave him a one year free bus fare and now started working in the restaurant. "

Very touching story for a teenager's work ethic and love for his siblings.

An Atlanta teen who wanted to leave a street gang was shot more than a dozen times by members of the gang when he told them his intentions, police say.

"Never since I've been in law enforcement have I seen someone shot 15 times and live," U.S. Marshal Eric Heinz said. "(He) told the other members of the gang,'Hey, look, I want to go straight, be law-abiding,' and they weren't happy with it."

The Internal Revenue Service will wait until the end of tax season to furlough its employees.

IRS acting Commissioner Steven Miller told employees Thursday that they will have to stay home without pay for between 5 and 7 days this year, but not until the beginning of the summer.

"We expect that every one of us would take no more than one furlough day per pay period, beginning sometime in the summer, after the filing season ends," Miller wrote in an internal memo to employees obtained by CNNMoney.

"Obama acted Friday, the deadline for the president and Congress to avoid the steep, one-year cuts.

The president placed blame squarely on Republican lawmakers at a Friday press conference for failing to stop automatic spending cuts that were to begin kicking in later in the day, calling the cuts "dumb, arbitrary."

Republicans, for their part, said the fault was his, for insisting that increased taxes be part of the resolution

The president said the impact of the cuts won't immediately be felt, but middle class families will begin to "have their lives disrupted in significant ways." He said that as long as the cuts stay in effect, Americans will know that the economy could have been better had they been averted.

"The pain, though, will be real," Obama said

My depreciating house that needs repair got an increase of $600.00 real estate tax for the year. Nothing can stop the absolute power the government. I look forward to giving up car to compensate for the increases. Meanwhile I would not entertain any possibility of paying for the opportunity to play the glorious game of golf not that I have really played much the tiger woods bubble game. Somethings got to give. America stands for money money money all eyes are into the money I don't have. Crooks scammers and needy like the government. Geezz.
