The Internal Revenue Service 's special scrutiny of small-government groups applying for tax-exempt status went beyond keyword hunts for organizations with "Tea Party" or "Patriot" in their names, to a more overtly ideological search for applicants seeking to "make America a better place to live" or "criticize how the country is being run," ... But when the IRS does it..it's not OK, dkhead. It's a seriouos violation of the law.

This administration is totally out of control. You're excuses for them are running out of steam with most Americans, including democrats.
If the IRS is targeting 'conservative groups' you may be correct.

But let us remember that every recent 'conservative generated' scandal was a conflated pack of lies, just like that O'Keefe clown.

I think they were just taking 'short cuts' to ID political groups falsely claiming tax-exempt status. But that said, it is still wrong to target any idiology.

I am curious?
Were the tea-bag and 'militia' groups actally involved in politics?
I think so, but that did the IRS find?
And, how about the 'non conservative' groups investigaterd?
More importantly...
How does this cmpare to the ACORN scandle?
It compares to acorn in that the tea party is still around because though the irs targeted them because they are conservative they were not doing anything wrong and when acorns illegal activities were exposed donors dropped them like a hot potato and they went bankrupt.

You evidence a compltet gullability.

The Congress targeted ACORN, whowere lied about by the mass conservative media (they are still lying.)

The 'tea party' is only existing, and only 'still around' because of large support from the very rich, who exploit the tea-dummies with their 'no tax' mantra, which saves those very same rich hundreds of millions $$$.

All about money, and not principle.

Maybe there are too many groups trying to go for a tax exempt status than should be. Who's fault is it that they all happen to be Republican? I swear Conservatives just don't want to pay taxes!

you tell your friends that, maybe they will believe you , but I saw those acorn people on the you tube and fox telling a young couple how to hide prostitution activities and avoid taxes. I don't need the conservative media or the congress committee telling me they did wrong I saw it for myself and they could not say it on fox if it was not true.

The IRS is now weaponized and under the direction of the WhiteHouse. We were warned when he attempted to put the control of the 2010 Census under WhiteHouse control. There are no surprises now.

No, you saw a heavily edited tape, talling only a part of an incident.

If you say you 'saw' then you were there with o'Keefe.
Were you?

1) If you were there, part of O'Keefe's lie-scam, you are a liar.
2) If you weren't there, yet claim you 'saw with your own eyes' you are a liar.

Which liar are you?
