The Catholic Church doesn't always think so, it seldom referred its child abuse cases to the civil authories for investigantion and prosecution.

Of course the Mormons and Muslems are not allowed to have multiple wives or underage wives, even though that is part of their religion.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" (1st ammendment, in part)

Does that only apply to some religions?

The dummicrats have it all wrong. It's not about contraception. It's about LIFE control and breaking down the wall between the separation of church and state. We want a theocracy as our founding fathers intended, uh hum, in our Constitution. LOL

I understand Iron Maidens are making a comeback, and I don't mean the rock group....

LOL!!!

Sadly Rethuglicans have just succeeded in hoisting themselves on their own petards.

Being in the woods politically for the next generation will be lonely for them......

As a Catholic, I will never pay for birth control. Obama is trying to violate my 2nd ammedment rights. Nobody is going to take away birth control. Obama is forcing us to pay for it in violation of our consciences. He should be impeached.
Your not paying for it. The insurance company is. But only if you use it,,, like 90% of Catholic women do. The only Catholic women I know who don't use birth control are Hispanic. But after 4 or 5 kids they figure out the Pope doesn't have to raise all those kids and then they start taking BC also.

Go exercise your religion in church, not where I am trying to work. Since when do our laws need to be approved by a church? Maybe you want to give the Pope the right to veto. Make him the forth branch of Government.

It is not about the Catholic Church. It's about church members. We should not be forced to violate our principles. We should not be forced to pay insurance premiums for our employees which covers abortion or birth control. Birth control is not medicine and a child is not a disease!!

..."Senator Roy Blunt, who offered the Senate measure, said Democrats' framing of the issue as a women's rights question proved to be a problem ...".

Yes, Blunt dear, we women are concerned about the gophers chipping away with their bludgeons on women's health care issues and a woman's right to choose.

"Frame" it as you wish but we women are watching ...

Yes. We women are watching...Obama and his party waging war on Catholic women so some rich law student, who will earn Millions in her life, can get free birth control at the expense of my religious freedom! How many will suffer when these institutions are forced to shut down due to the fascism of the left?

Practice you own principles. But being an employer does not give you the right to inflict your religious beliefs on me. If I am a Christian Science minister and buy a large corporation does that give me the right to not provide any medical coverage because I donít believe in medicine? By the way. You are not paying for it. It is part of my pay package so Iím paying for it. Your paying me and then keeping part of it to pay for my insurance,, that I donít even get to pick. Instead you pick the cheapest shittiest insurance company you can find to keep your labor costs down. That is why we need Medicare for everybody and then you pick your own insurance company and buy supplemental and upgrades through them

I have no problem paying for health insurance for my employees but I cannot pay for abortion or birth control. That would violate my religious beliefs and my rights as an American citizen.
