There are 4 comments on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer story from Nov 10, 2012, titled Farm bill could hinge on budget talks. In it, Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that:

A farm bill that stalled in Congress before the election could see quick action by the end of the year if congressional leaders decide they need its spending cuts - including a small reduction in the $80-billion-a-year food stamps program - to make a deal for averting the "fiscal cliff." The Farm Bill NEEDS to get into action NOW..these farmers are in dire need to know if and how much seed and animal livestock to purchase or not? Their livihood depends on this Bill to pass..our food consumption from a can of baked beans to that rib-eye on the grill can either break them or let them have a happy day..C'MON and do the right thing. Ya know, I think the Food Stamp Program is really great..you lose your job, no income..so the govt helps ya out..it is our tax money also. BUT, I believe the Laws need to get stricter..WHY should a couple get food stamps, spend it on JUNK FOOD and ride in a NEW CAR? When YOU and I are couponing to save a few pennies and ride in an old classic..WHEN we can't even FIND parts anymore..because of the CASH FOR CLUNKERS..a few years back. START really, taking note and detemine if that family with one income and a boyfriend sponging off his baby's momma ISN'T FIT ENOUGH to go out and secure a job, get married and live independently WITHOUT the food stamps..TOO many take advantage of the program. The elderly on a fixed income, barely even get enough for a week's worth of groceries. TIME FOR LAWS TO CHANGE..

You're so hypocritical!! The farmers and agricultural states voted from Romney. Now you say this after you relished in Obama's win.

Make up your mind!
