edgewood needs to become incorporated like HdG, aberdeen, and bel air.. you don't hear too much about gang issues in those areas anymore, do you? because once you're incorporated you have your own police dept, which edgewood desperately needs.. of course that means the citizens might have to pay a little bit more in taxes, but from the sound of it, they are willing to do just about anything.. edgewood is the last place that needs to be sharing the harford county sherriff's office with the rest of the county - not that they don't do a good job, but edgewood needs it's OWN police dept and the time and money and manpower to focus strictly on THEIR problems.. i promise, the citizens would see a world of change if they saw 5-0's driving around with the words "edgewood police department" on the side.. i still think the task force is a good idea. we need to open the communication doors with virginia, philly, NY, etc, but i think edgewood needs to start in their own backyard with their own police.

If Edgewood incorporates, how much in additional taxes will the residents pay to establish & maintain their own police department?
