I am so happy this corrupt bastard was convictyed. All of us are so sick of corrupt, lyiing, cheating politicians. Beacuse he is a U.S. Senator he should have known better. They should throw the book at him so hard that he goes to jail for many years to set an example for other corrupt politicians.

It is indeed fortunate that being a convicted felon does not disqualify one from serving in Congress. That way if they all get what they have coming it will not disrupt the workings of that august body. In fact if they were all to be convicted we could just put bars around the Capital and they would all have to stay inside to hopefully and finally do most of the work we had elected them to do.

EVERY POLITICIAN IS CORRUPT. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! It's become a game trying to pick which one is less corrupt. Hussein vs McCrap??? Hussein is younger so he might be the lessor of 2 evils. That hockey mom running mate is a joke! I can't believe that fool picked her. I'm writing in my 6th grade teacher for president... She gave a nice hand job and I kept quiet!

No pension from us taxpayers, kicked out of the Senate and have serve his time in jail. Maybe that will send a message do a crime, serve the time. Yet, we will toss someone in jail for stealing a piece of pizza or food if they are hungry. The inequality stops now. I don't know too many politicians who are honest. Republicans and Democrats. Shame on them. However, it seems that the longer the time in office the more corrupt they become. What the heck ever happened to ethics?

Sarah Palin helped to take Stevens down. That is one of her selling points in the election is that she is not afraid to fight corruption even in her own party.

I am a registered Republican and Sen. Stevens makes me sick. In recent sound bites I've seen of him he seems to have turned into a bitter old man who thinks the world is after him.

Time to resign Senator. You've become an embarrassment to the Congress (as if they need any MORE embarrassment) and your state and your country.
