Leave it to the Dems to propose a bill that allows for offshore drilling only where the oil isn't.

Nothing but bad politics here.

This bill does nothing but offer political cover for the democraps and those weak republicans who voted for it. What it really does:
-Allows drilling outside of 100 miles off shore when 85 % of the resources are within 100 miles.
-Does not address all alternatives such as nuclear power
-Does not offer incentives to the states to allow off shore drilling
-Does nothing to handle the many extremist environmentalist lawsuits that are being filed and will be filed to stop drilling and transmission of energy..
What a waste of energy !

What happened to "drill, baby, drill"? November is coming....do these guys really want our votes, or do they crave peer approval more?
