Luv, Palin's religious beliefs, sometimes described by traditional Christian ministers as "charismatic/fanatical evangelical insanity" won't gain Palin any votes.
The problem main-line Christians have with Palin's religion is its basis in hating everybody who disagrees with its proponents. That is not what Jesus taught. He told us to love one another and to do good to others.
Palin's Wasilla church (where she was baptized and that she attended for 20 years) adhers to William Branham's Third Wave theology. You might want to research that. It's the same theology taught by disgraced former preacher Ted Haggard.
Branham teaches that Satan had sex with Eve and produced Cain, the "Serpent Seed."
"Through Cain came all the smart, educated people down to the antediluvian flood--the intellectuals, bible colleges," Branham wrote.
"Intellectuals" and everybody else who doesn't agree with Branham (and Palin) are the enemy and must be destroyed.
Where's the love in that? Luke 6:35 says, "Love your enemies, do good to them."
John 4:19-20: If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar."
Main-line religious groups have denounced the Third Wave theology as heresy.
Is it any wonder that highly-placed Republicans, as well as most ordinary Americans, according to numerous polls, are uncomfortable with Palin?
