Most outstanding ballots to be counted Wednesday - KTVA
#1 Nov 11, 2008
I would like to see Matthew Simon interview Gail Fenumiai or Sean Parnell and ask why 29 other states had early voting and absentee voting and were able to count their votes in a timely manner. What has the division of elections been doing for the last week? Many unanswered questions surround the vote in Alaska this yesr. The media needs to investigate this further. I voted early, and I am concerned that my vote may never be counted. I would like to know what the state is doing to insure that every vote is counted? Where have all these uncounted ballots been for the past week, and who has had access to them? I heard today that the state is waiting to count until Wednesday because they are expecting a large shipment of absentee ballots that have not yet arrived. Where are these coming from, and how do they know these are coming? Who are the 20,000 questioned ballots? Is this the usual amount of absentee ballots? Why is the vote the second lowest in the history of presidential elections in Alaska and not at all in line with the exit polls? With all these questions, how can we ever trust the results, particularly if Ted Stevens and Don Young win? Every vote needs to be counted and the public needs to know that this is being done.
