Love it - "closed door negotiations", "Two House Democrats who spoke on the condition of anonymity", "barely debated pot of money", "only one Republican spoke against , "We don't get bogged down in the terminology".
BS, BS, BS
Typical BS politicians. There is not a bill that goes through Congress that doesn't have something "tucked into" it. These liars crooks and cheats don't read 90% of the stuff they vote on and don't understand many of the bills put forward. They are written by lobbyists who all have their own agendas. Government entities - educators, cities, states, and bureaucracies are paying lobbyists billions to get their pet spending projects "tucked into" some bill that has nothing to do with what the dollars they are seeking.
The only hope is to vote out ALL incumbents and try to start over - with defined term limits.
Health care?- you may want to make an appointment with your government appointed doctor today - so you'll be able to get into a clinic prior to your death.

While the 23 billion is a small amount in the totality of what this program is, it will be a huge safety blanket for all of the states.
I think it is a wise move on the part of our Congress. Thank you to Ms. Pelosi and her entire team for including this in our package that will soon be the law of the land.

You are so unbelievably stupid! I think you really enjoy being the meat in the Pelosi, Obama sandwich. Rock on, Lucky Pierre!

$23.5 billion is nothing. America just needs to ask the US mints to print off more 100 dollar bills. And, certainly stack them in $10,000 dollar bundles and ship them out. We must demand the US mints work overtime printing more money. ASAP.

Not to worry .... That's exactly what Obama has in mind. Why do you think the US dollar is tanking ... and gold is $1150 an ounce?
