Ah ha! I see a future soap opera for TV.
"As the Alaska World Turns"
or
"The Northern Light"
or
" The Young, the Ambitious and the Restless"
or
"All My Republican Children"
or
"As the World Turns According to Sarah"
and finally my favorite
"The Days of our Republican Lives"

I'm going start on the plot line today. I think I have a real chance of selling it to Hollywood. Makes great fiction. A titanic struggle between two Alaskan women whose desire for power is only intensified by their raging hormones. What a plot!

Sarah Palin is a joke. And if that is all the GOP has to offer for 2012, the Democrats have nothing to fear.

Murkowski has no business trying to tell Gov. Palin what to do. The great thing about America is the individual's right to run for any public office if they choose.
Murkowski should just do her job, and button her lip.

Palin has to be the luckiest person alive. She runs for mayor because she's bored and wants to help her husband's businesses. Somebody tells her she ought to run for Governor, so Palin does, and wins, without really having to struggle. Then, out of plumb f-----g no where, McCain calls her up on the telephone and says, "Why don't you be my VP." Palin did not even accomplish anything as governor yet. Now, out of nowhere, she's tabbed as the Republican Presidential nominee. She hasn't had to work for any of her fame and stardom. Ordinary people can not even get the media to come to their home and pay them a house call. All Sarah does is flash her pretty smile and her petite body, and the next thing you know, she's President. I guess those sexy models were right -- if sex didn't sell, people would not be buying it.

That's funny! It is fun to make up soap opera plots, and the people who criticize you have no sense of humor at all!

She does her job. She isn't the one making a fool of herself. She has the right to support the person she wants to support. Palin shows no respect for her family - why should she respect Palin? It isn't even just personal. Why should she respect Palin for any reason?

You missed two key points -three - the hairdos, the glasses, the legs. Now there's a role model, in those important instances. Especially very nice glasses! And she looked so nice in that lovely turqoisy outfit on the video where she welcomed the convention of the Alaska Independece Party - see it on you tue. Also see Sarah Palin: killkillkill. She looks so cute in that parka standing over the dead bloody mooose with that happy grin on her vace!

The one thing about Sarah Palin is she is not dumb or stupid. The may not be the most intelligent person in the world, but she does have political smarts and she does understand the game and how it's played.
McCain and his cronies were idiots for picking an unknown to be his running mate. Then they showed how stupid they were by trying to script everything she said and spending 150 G's on clothing for her in a vain attempt to repackage her. She knows she has an opportunity to further her political future and she will use whatever road it takes. Personally I don't think she is looking past 2010 at the moment. But she does like the bright lights of the big city.

Finally to some of you posters, lighten up for cripes sake, politics is fun no matter who you support. I've dealt with and have known a lot of political individuals from a former St.Paul Democratic Mayor(has there been anything else but)neigbor of mine whose kids used to baby sit my younger ones, to dealing with Pawlenty when he was on the Eagan Planning Commission(now there's is guy with political smarts)to a friend of mine who headed at one time 2 of Minnesota's biggest Departments.
So lighten up folks.

Thank you. Finally someone in this cyberspace of ours who has a sense of humor, particularly in this case where if you don't live or vote in Alaska you might as well be shouting your views into the Grand Canyon. At least there you would have a great view of scenery.

I liked the part in the story where the local political observer was quoted saying: "But like Murkowski, Dittman said Palin would be better served by staying in Juneau ... "

On the news yesterday, it said that Palin has not been in the governor's office in the state capitol in Juneau since before the election. She's even got a free plane to take her there, yet Palin's been MIA. Doesn't that tell us all we need to know about Palin and her priorities?

I hope Palin DOES run for Senator of the great state of Alaska. It'd be fun to watch, and having Tina Fey back on SNL would be great too.
I have relatives in both Fairbanks and Anchorage. Both are GOP, neither like Sarah, one told me 'we don't need a beauty queen, we need a governor'.

Who is "us"?

As if you had thought anything different about her previously? Does this information change your view of her from favorable to unfavorable? Or is she such a threat that you just cant help yourself?

I love how democrats are still coming out of the woodwork to denounce her when she is clearly out of the limelight and, according to you dems; A none-issue. Just an observation but on every thread about her that comes along you will consistantly find the post count to escalate very quickly into the hundreds and spanning across what appears to be multiple states.(according to IP addresses anyway) I sure would love to see what might come to pass if she wasnt so ummm, stupid (as one of you put it) or if she was an actual issue. Whew, thankfully thats not the case though. Right?

Why are the Politico writers still hung up on Palin?
The election was almost a month ago already.

The very first post here was a Palin backer ready for her run in 2012. That poster is certainly not alone. She has many backers that will keep her in the GOP forefront for the next couple of years.... unless a more legitimate candidate comes along. To say that she's out of the "limelight" contradicts her photo-ops on the Georgia Senate campaign trail as well as the publicity circuit that will soon make her a very wealthy woman.

Personally, I think she is a threat to the Democrats - and the Republicans! Take a look at the article instead of the postings. I find it ironic that Palin is now the very thing the Republicans were claiming Obama was - a celebrity without substance. The warning and insults are coming from YOUR party currently in the seats, not from Democrats behind the woodwork.

We need Palin badly. Sadly, now she is not one heart beat away from the Presidency. But, hopefully, she will emerge again as the maverick which she truly is and lead our Nation. We need Palin, badly.
