Where was the outrage when Bill Clinton fired ALL 92 incumbent U.S. attorneys upon assuming office? This was the first time in history such a mass firing took place. Usually, U.S. attorneys, who are appointed by the President, remain in their jobs until the new President selects their replacements, who are then confirmed by the Senate. Clinton fired them all as soon as he took office, even though he didn't have anyone ready to replace them! Now 8 U.S. attorneys who were "fired" by Bush in his SECOND TERM are crying, and the Democrats and the media are having a field day. Seems like everyone has a selective memory on this. What hypocrites!
