More oil/gas drilling?
Construction of the pipeline?
This shouldn't surprise anyone.
Teabaggers will try anything to get their agenda passed, they would attach this to the clean water act if they could.

You wonít believe what Americaís number one export was for 2011. Want a hint? In 2006 and 2007 it didnít even make the USís top five exports.

Still donít know? Then how about this clue? From 2009 to 2011, the dollar value of these exports more than doubled, from $36.5 billion to $73.4 billion.

Still having trouble figuring it out? Okay, hereís one more piece of the puzzle: The last time this product was Number One was way back in 1990.

Stumped? Well, the surprising top export for the US in 2011 was fuel.

Fuelís resurgence was due mostly to the oil liquids coming from the USís expanding shale, gas and oil fields.

Most years, the cost of filling up at the pump drops in February. Why? Demand for gas decreases during the mid-winter as people go into semi-hibernation, and gas prices tend to follow on a downward trajectory, before rising again when the weather starts to warm up. Thus far in 2012, however, while demand remains low, prices are soaring, reaching all-time highs for this time of year.

If pricing follows standard seasonal patterns, most drivers will be paying $4 a gallon by springtime, and 2012 will easily beat out 2011 for the dubious title of Most Expensive Year Ever for Gas.

NEW YORK (WTW)ó The price of natural gas jumped Thursday after a major producer said it is aggressively cutting production.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. told investors its production cuts are "actually higher" than the minimum of 500 million cubic feet per day it announced in January.

Analysts said Thursday's announcement by Chesapeake shows that energy companies are watching the market closely and will aggressively manage supplies to push prices higher.

It's because oil is a speculated commodity.
Take oil OFF the commodities market
End the speculation
Watch prices fall..

Like in 2008??Same market existed then!..supply and Demand!.Its more like the uncertainty of a stable ,secure Oil supply...The Mid East...Its there that OIL is being manipulated ,Sheiks have the world by the shorts!..RAG HEADS !...Sucking up our Cash!....What with the threat of IRAN disrupting our OIL suppl..More so in Europe.

America needs more DOMESTIC ENERGY SUPPLY'S...here in North America,Alaska, and ... Canada...
However the CURRENT LOON ,kissing the GREEN SLIME vote,Blowing money on failed GREEN insanity..Is the MAIN CAUSE for our high energy prices,This LOONY EPA,is killing America.

The only thing to help us ,we Americans ,is to FLAT OUT DRILL BABY DRILL!....

If your suggestion is so good Why then does not this HUSSIEN do it??...Simple? or is it?..this spring and summer look for $5. a gal!

High Fuel costs, unemployment ..should have Americas ready to through This Obama out!...If not We Are GREECE!!
