This is about as good an opportunity for the Democrats to take some more seats in congress as they are going to get before the November elections. If they tack onto this demand Americans popular desire for importing affordable prescription medicines from Canada and Mexico, the Democrats can take more seats in both houses of congress as well as the executive office if they recognize this opportunity and capitalize on it without bungling it.

Republicans have to realize that if fire fighters and law enforcement officials perform public services paid for by tax dollars, then why not public health care, especially for children and poor elderly?

If Bush can criticize California for trying to pass legislation to deny public health services to illegal aliens from Mexico and force state and local tax payers to pay medical bills for illegal aliens from Mexico, then why not have public health care for children and retired elderly paid for by tax dollars?

If Bush can rob the National treasury blind while making Oil companies, Black Water and Haliburton ever Richer, why not have health care for children and retired elderly paid for by tax dollars.

However, I think that it is time that insurance companies be allowed to deny health care coverage payments for people who have a history of increased risk due to lack of personal responsibility in caring for them selves. Why should everyone have to pay the medical bills for cancer patients who have been smoking for years? Why should everyone have to pay medical bills for patients with sexually transmitted diseases because they lack personal restraint and discretion?
