"the precarious state of the U.S. polar bear population"? What are you kidding? Up 400% in the last few decades, is that not enough? Do you want them throughout the US, like in Miami or something? Would 800% be enough?

Polar bear populations in both Alaska and Canada are not threatened, their populations are much higher today than 30 years ago. Oh, and btw: the arctic ice coverage is now above the 1979-2000 average.... fancy that...

When I first heard of the Endangered Species Act, I thought it applied to diminishing populations. Isn't that what endangered means?
