Get your facts straight, the big 4 oil companies paid 41% of their income into federal taxes.. they made .02 per gallon vs the taxes(depending on what state you live in) 1.20-1.80 tax per gallon.
Exxon spent 4.1 billion on exploring an oil field in alaska that contains 4 times the oil of our current oil field on the north slope, yet 4 idiots appointed by Obama, deny them the permit to drill. It seems that we talk with no facts or out of both sides of our mouth

I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Remember the last time he agreed to more drilling? He's pretty notorious for backpedaling depending on which crowd he's speaking to. He's already cost Shell Oil almost $6 billion by holding up their permits in Alaska. They dragged their feet and stalled Shell till Shell had spent $4 billion trying to get permits approved for their $2 billion dollars worth of leases in an area that had 27 billion barrels of oil estimated on the low side. All because Obama and the enviro nazis want to force the fantasy of renewable green energy down Americas throat for their personal profit and gain.
You are absolutely correct, good job!

However, in a belated attempt to keep that promise, he has become absolutely transparent in his attempt to con as many voting blocs as possible into believing that he is on their side with his never-ending flip-flopping.

Exxon paid 216 million in US taxes last year and 15 billion in international taxes.

Excellent point.

The oil company profits on each gallon of gas we buy doesn't even come close to government's excessive tax grab each time we fill up.

Friggen liberal idiot!

And the obama favorite liberal company, general electric, paid no taxes at all. So far, no liberals have seen fit to comment on that.

Actually, OBAMA wanted this to happen. His goal is to herd the sheep in the direction that he sees as the correct direction. Changing the habits of everyone in the country is starting to happen. Watch out, coal in next!

No one thinks about that part, the oil companies invest their money and take all the risk but it's only their profit anyone worries about. The government risk nothing and is the major reason for jacking the cost up with their excessive regulations and they make as much if not more profit than the oil companies.

And that makes me wonder if the govt will reduce the taxation at the pump after getting all this new revenue from the oil companies. Everybody knows that if the oil companies pay more, there will be an increase at the pumps to cover it. If the govt does not then reduce or eliminate the tax rate at the pump then obviously the consumers will be the only ones paying more. Yet the media wants us to be mad at big oil for making money and they want us to demand that these tax breaks are stopped. Sounds good on the surface, but we would be hurting ourselves.

If they're gonna increase drilling you can bet the farm most of it will be sent over seas (as they've been doing for years) where they'll get top dollar. All this nonsense about helping lower the price at home is merely a smoke screen even a blind man in a darkened room could see if he wanted to.
