Bottom line is... other Democrats, and YES Republicans too... have done far far worse than this and still continued on.
your point is that sleezy behaviour should be overlooked in elected officials, of members of Congres, of Senators.....or the President...

because worse has been done...because others have been sleezy also....

The next hurdle for acceptance as a member of congress will be being caught with a young boy. As far as the liberal party is concerned, everything should be acceptable as long as the person returns funds in excess of taxes paid to their district.

I suppose you think the Repuglicans gathered to support Newt G, Arnold the man Swartzenegger, and Tiger the Woody man. They threw them all out with the trash. I'm a Dem and Weiner did wrong, he needs to leave and join the Repugs that will embrace his Weinered ways.

I believe you'll find more likeness to communism with the Repugs. Ask your college professors in economics. Capitalism is totally defeating all the workers and poor in our country. Those poor folks that follow tea baggers are doomed to fail. Wake up and sell your roses.

Yes, some of us can separate private business and public business and look past partisan hate.
Weiner was wrong to lie but beyond that these ADULT women were willing participants and it seems Weiner is respected by his New York constituents.
The participation of the women isn't an issue, we the taxpayers don't pay them, give them benefits and have to depend on their honest and decision making that will steer the course of our lives, our children's live and for generations beyond that.

He is a confessed liar that has difficulty making good sensible decisions with some serious problems, not really qualities that we need to have to depend on to make decisions for our lives.

So his constituents don't respect themselves and don't require him to respect them. What can I say stupid is stupid.

I have not heard any official confirmation that he did any of this while "on the clock" or used government equipment resources.
Until that is proven, he is just an idiot that got busted for cheating on his wife (and technically he didn't physically cheat... though it is kind of sleazy.)
Other Democrats, and yes... many Republicans... have done far worse and stayed in office (like R-David Vitter, caught cheating with prostitutes- which at last check IS an actual crime...) He may come back from this, but even if he does, he won't be able to show his face in public without shame for quite a while. Oh... and what do you care whether or not his wife chooses to forgive him... that seems like their business to me.
He told his female "friends" he was in his office and the pictures of his wife and the Clinton's which is in his office were captured for all to see. So if it's not the case he again is a liar.

Diverting to what other have done solves nothing, they should have been given their walking papers too. Those kinds of comments remind me of the saying, Two wrongs don't make a right. It just shows how we have come to expect disrespect from those we pay and put in office. We tolerate it and they know it. They know we have a double standard and they run with it. Some of what these politicians do is a and continues to do is our fault, we don't demand respect from them.

I know the list of repubs, dems, and most of those in the public eye but not in elected office.....

why the hell do you think I'm so frigging fed up with the sleeze bags....no matter what party....

you're still playing the political party game....

BTW....if you read a whole thread. you'll not make such a fool out of yourself with your drive-by comments......

No, not at all... my point is, hold him to the same standard of accountability that a Republican would be as well.

If he did something illegal or unethical, he will be held accountable. However, if what he did falls under a screw up in his personal life, the voters of his district, when he is up for re-election, should determine if his actions have made him unfit to hold office.

As I said before... I am not justifying it, but I am saying that many others in both political parties have done far worse, and committed "actual" crimes and still stayed in office.

Re: Myrko. The real reason the Dem's want Weiner to resign is that he's dragging their party down. I believe Politicans (all parties) should be honest and have high morals...guess I'm living in a make-believe world. All the lying, cheating, dishonesty, blame-shifting and laziness are so blatently obvious these days that's it's pitiful.

I see no reason for Weiner to leave office. Teddy got away with murder and stayed in office. What Weiver did was stupid but at least he didn't kill somebody.
The damage that Teddy did to the United States after Chappaquiddick, thru judicial nominations, educational legislation, open borders policies, health care positions and reckless spending is so extensive that the nation may be mortally wounded in the same way Brutus wounded Ceasar.

Ironically, it was the moral corruption that allowed Teddy Kennedy to literally get away with his crimes, BECAUSE he was a GLOBALIST ELITIST, that led to America's perdicament.

Weiner is also in the GLOBALIST ELITIST Group, so Pelosi has been ordered to save him.

Face it. The Republicans haven't fixed anything yet. So now, just like with Clinton, they need a scandal to divert attention away from the shenanigans and schemes they are trying to pass off on America again.
