DOJ Targets Voter ID Laws Like One Upheld By SCOTUS

Dec 7, 2011 | Posted by: Agent of Chaos | Full story: www.judicialwatch.org

It appears that the Obama Administration is once again utilizing the Department of Justice as a political tool, this time to challenge voter identification laws-like one already upheld by the Supreme Court-that Democrats claim discriminate against minorities.

Is id required when you register to vote? Take a pic at the time of registration, store it, and pull up to verify at time of voting.

What's the big freaking deal? You have to show photo ID in a myriad of circumstances. Why not if you want to vote? All it does is keep non citizens from voting.

Of course it discriminates against minorities, because in this country we don't allow minorities to have any identification. Oh, wait, that's not true! They can get identification just like everyone else, so what's the problem? Obama just wants his pet illegal aliens to vote because they'll likely vote democrat.

Exactly! Are we to assume that one doesn't need a photo ID to get Welfare? Food Stamps? Government assistance? If not, it leaves it wide open to lie to get benefits. If so, the same photo ID can be used for voting.

I'm not seeing the "discrimination" here. No effort is being made to make photo IDs more accessible for people that don't have one? Instead, the argument here is to leave them alone and don't require proof of identity? And the integrity of our elections are at risk? And the Democrats don't care? Perhaps because they benefit from illegal votes?

If you're following the State of Indiana, there's an ongoing investigation as to petition fraud in regards to Hillary and Nobama going on. Apparently Nobama didn't have enough registered voter signatures, so someone decided to help him out.

no discrimination here but dumpocraps only have lies and cries of racism to use as weapons of mass distraction

Free Wisconsin ID cards for voting
A free ID card is available under Wisconsin law to anyone who:

will be at least 18 years of age on the date of the next election and;
requests an ID card for the purpose of voting.
A free ID card is NOT available under the following circumstances:

If you currently have a valid, unexpired driver license (DL), you are not eligible under Wisconsin law to obtain an ID.
If you will not be at least 18 years of age on the date of the next election.
If you already have a Wisconsin ID card that is not eligible for renewal (you may renew your ID card up to one year prior to its expiration date).
If you are not eligible to vote in Wisconsin.

No, it does not. Citizens need ID to get all sorts of stuff, including medicaid and medicare, among other things. So they get ID for that, but they can't show it to vote? B.S.

This is just a tactic to allow illegal aliens to vote...nothing more.

Today, per the SC Attorney General, this will be appealed and as usual, Thomas Perez and the DOJ (caugh) didn't give a complete picture of the reason behind the law!
