When anger goes too far
Watching the muscular tactics being used in congressional town meetings by some opponents of health care reform, I keep thinking somebody should remind the Republican leaders who are reveling in the scenes about Bruce Alger.Read more

Yes, Republican lobbying operatives for the denial-of-care health insurance profiteers have gone too far. They have shown the world just who they are: a ridiculous, uninformed mob of thugs.
Most of us knew this already but here is proof for the rest of the world.

God forbid the USA should have civilized health care. Brits receive immediate care for serious problems while Americans can wait for 2 years.
"But Oatley has never seen a bill for the rest of her medical care, such as her prescription drugs, doctors' appointments, MRIs and lab tests. That care is paid for by Britain's National Health Service. It's a government-run system, funded by income taxes, that provides health care to all residents.
After Oatley's workout session, she grabs a cup of tea. Sitting on a bench outside the center, she describes what happened to her nearly 10 years ago.
"I felt these odd sensations, in both legs actually," she recalls. "This is weird, but it felt warm on the inside, and when I would take a bath or a shower, the hot water felt cold and the cold water felt hot."
She made an appointment with her general practitioner, who promptly referred her to a specialist.
"He recommended, that very day, an MRI scan, a pulmonary function test, an X-ray and a blood test," she says. "And so all that was done that afternoon, and I went back the very next week for the results."
The tests showed multiple sclerosis, a chronic, degenerative disease that affects the central nervous system.

You have proven nothing, and your personal insults decries a whimpering gasp of feeble logic.
The UK and Canada have been having more and more publicized legislative battles because they can't afford their own health care system. It's well known that the US' system is far from perfect, but it's the highest quality in the world.
The running joke from a Canadian journalist about a month ago was, "If America goes to socialized medicine, where will we Canadians go for our medical procedures?"
Just what is it the government does that costs LESS than the private sector? Hmm?

do you actually think our voice matters? watch this. the decision has already been made. you will be getting socialized health care whether you like it or not. aren't you at least a little tired of things being crammed down your throats?
