Now, here is the entire paragraph that was printed in the Times earlier this week:

There is no doubt about who is in charge, of course. Delegates for presumptive nominee Mitt Romney are voting down substantive changes to the platform language that was written at the direction of Romney’s campaign. The biggest question is whether the tone remains polite, as it was at the outset of two days of deliberations, or whether dissenters spoil the image of harmony that the Romney campaign is working hard to produce.

You see, the Times article is saying the Romney campaign helped make suggestions for the GOP platform, but it makes no mention of abortion policy. Cooper confronted Schultz for taking the quote out of context to further her own political agenda.

“First, the abortion language in the 2012 platform, it hardly differs from the 2008 language and the 2004 language in the platform. That language obviously wasn’t written by the Romney campaign,” Cooper said, adding that a CNN reporter was present while the platform was being crafted and he said Romney advisers didn’t make suggestions on abortion plan.

Its nothing new. Liberals do this all the time.

Interesting, Poor Wasserman-Schultz knows only the script given her, it's painful to watch her not only not answer the question posed, but to continually lie and lie and lie in order to present her scripted "Statement" that is supposed to pass for a conversation. Anderson Cooper may just be the last real journalist left in America and Wasserman-Schultz is only a shill for the Obama administration sent out to present the "message" and nothing else. In order to further this phoney "War on women" that the Obama administration is trying to foist on American women, lies and distortions will have to be presented and that is Wasserman-Schultz's one and only job. It's pathetic that so many women (honestly ladies, do you really think that Republicans will outlaw birth control or ever over turn Roe v Wade?) buy this load of crap.

Ladies, some well meant information. Since Roe v. Wade was passed in 1973 we have had 22 of those 39 years under a Republican president, now, THINK!, if in those 22 years of Republican presidents, has a ban abortion even been attempted, by the President? No, it hasn't, all that has happened is that certain logical and humane restrictions have been suggested by the republican administrations. Late term abortion is one, parental notification is another, neither of which, unless your are rabidly pro-abortion right up to the day before delivery, is extreme. So, why now, all of a sudden do you think there is even a remote chance that it will happen NOW? That just isn't logical or rational thinking. This phoney war on women is just one more strike by Obama to scare a voting block into at least not voting for Romney, even if they just stay home and don't vote at all, at least they will not be voting FOR Romney. He has you scared, the blacks scared (apparently we really don't want school vouchers and bury a black baby under our doorsteps for luck or some such strange thing), Hispanics scared we will deport even the ones here legally but not before we bury a Hispanic baby under the door steps too, the youngsters scared that we will make them pay for college and not let them have any loans or if we do we will charge 20% interest and demand their first born child, seniors scared that we will take away SS and Medicare (They've been saying THAT for 50 years - again, hasn't happened yet) and God only knows what the next group they will try to scare into voting for Obama or at least not voting at all. It's pathetic that anyone is gullible and so naive as to believe such tall tales.

You make an interesting argument. Finally I understand why republicans are hell-bent on making every pregnancy come to term.

They want to bury the babies under their front door steps for luck, or give the babies to our lending institutions, for colateral.
NOw I truly know what to be afraid of.

Unfortunately, given the tenor of posts by the left, I am not sure if I should laugh or lay my head down on the desk and cry.

If you are not a liberal loon, than this was a funny reply, otherwise, all I can say is pity the poor fool. Sincerely would love to know which response applies.

Der Blitz found something it liked, so suddenly Anderson's a 'real journalist.'

Next week when he points out GOP idiocy, of course, he'll be back to being a Communist.

Nothing for Wasserman-Schulz to apologize for.
