After the results of the last 8 years of failed republican policies these unpatriotic right-wingers feel deep down that the only way to win another election is to kill their opponents.

“"I'm A Great American!"”

THERE ARE LESS THAN 100 Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

That means Bush won that war. So why do we have 60,000 us troops chasing 100?

Why did obama escalate before and WHY is he going to escalate again?

Obama is murdering civilians!

*** In the first two of the sessions, which are taking place in the secure Situation Room in the White House basement, Obama kept returning to one question for his advisers: Who is our adversary, the official said.

The answer was al-Qaida, as it was back in March.
Amid changing circumstances in Afghanistan, the renewed determination has big implications for the current war debate.

There now are no more than 100 al-Qaida in Afghanistan.

Instead, the U.S. fight in Afghanistan is against the Taliban, now increasingly defined by the Obama team as distinct from al-Qaida. While still dangerous, the Taliban is seen as an indigenous movement with almost entirely local and territorial aims and far less of a threat to the U.S.

He's only appealing to his constituency - pathetic, violent, paranoid rubes.

There is no sanity left in conservatives.

Or, sane conservatives are too cowardly to speak up and out.

There were even less in 2001 in Tora Bora when Bush denied reinforcement to prevent Bin Laden and Al Qaeda from escaping into the mountains and pakistan, now it's 8 years later and there's been absolutely nothing accomplished.

Wow. 8 years and nothing. The proper reinforcements instead of dening the request to reinforce Special Operations Forces and this Afghanistan thing would have been wrapped up in the same amount of time Clinton and the UN Wrapped up operations in Kosovo.

Considering the schemes and activities of the Bush Administration is there any wonder that crazy republicans are in office, and support ridiculous activities and brazen conversation?

Who cares, the World and the Vast Majority of Sane Americans know this president is the absolute best option to move America towards full Recovery

The celebration of the Olympics, and the protest to the highest individual honor that can be presented to a Man indicates there are Americans who would if they could wreck America before seeing Obama lead the nation to prosperity.

What leads a person to hate like that? The World wants to know.. They are Watching.....

The next steps are clear, we have defeated al-kyda in afganistan, the taliban is a local thing and not our enemy, since we chased out al-kyda, we win, the war is over, bye,bye afganistan, sorry about the mess, oh look, I think I see some al-kyda over there, hiyo silver, away! We'll screw the poor afgans like we did the Tibetans in the 40's, the H'mong in the 70's, etc, we keep holding out help to people and then we leave them to be killed.

The drones may kill civilians. But the military used drones when Bush was President. Innocent civilians were killed in Iraq when Bush and/or Cheney was President. You did not object to that then, did you?

The alternative to drones is to have troops go into Pakistan, and that would also be treated as a violation of Pakistani sovereignty, be more ineffective, and would get more Americans killed and injured. The right-wong nuts want to force Obama to escale the ar, and then call it Obama's war. Probablh McCain's intent too. He is not an honorable man!I wuould even sspect that Pawlenty and others are more honorable, Lindsey Graham, tioo. Certainly closer to sane.

interesting comment. the U. s. left Afghanistan alone after the fall of the Russian occupation, due in part to U. S. aid contributions. nd soon the Taliban took over, and allowed al-Quaida to use afghan territory for training camps.
