A ridiculous and annoying letter.
Why do we need to hear a response from a member of Congress on certain issues?

"Oil and gas corporations handed Rep. Lungren $75,000 last year."

Congress passes laws that affect all of us. Yes we would like to know his views on issues. Lungren may be one of the worst congressman in this state. But all the right wingers keep voting this guy in.
Perhaps a change would do some good

It might make more sense to get your figures straight before writing a "Letter to the Editor."
Here are the facts. BP contributed $77,051.00 to Obama when he was in the Senate. They have also contributed 3.5 million dollars to federal candidates over the last 20, with the largest share going to Obama.

A congressman's current comment on BP is worse than useless.
