He had to get to Target Field for Twins tickets today. Whenever an inmate has an "outside appointment", they don't send them with a guard or corrections officer?? Of course then they'd have to buy two movie tickets.

Totally irrelevant. Obviously the guy is no danger to anyone and it isn't going to matter what side of the walls he is living on. Let him go and focus on putting guys away who deserve it.

Judges do some stupid things....like letting crimnals out into society and using jail as a bed and breakfast. Someday....maybe someday...society will grow a set

It does not sound like he had an escourt like most prisoners do when they need to leave the facility. So the guy was just going to come back on his own. How is that supposed to work? My uncle was a deputy sherrif and they didn't do stuff like that when he was on the force in the 1950s to 1970s. That kind of thing just didn't happen.

That is a trumped up charge the police get you on when they can't think of anything else. My neighbor got hit with child endangerment because he was DUI with his kids in the car. Heck, if I kept track of the times my Dad drove drunk with me in the back of a pickup truck, he'd still be in jail instead of dead today. Of course the story could have stated which direction he was going or if he had family nearby...

He is a prisoner. Why was he not escorted. Jail means no freedom until you finish your term. Jail is removing people from society period. He should be in cuffs unless he is behind bars.
