He is right, and the cure is enforcing all of the laws, securing all of the borders, deporting all of the illegals, and seizing all that they own,as well.Sell off what they have, and give the money to the states,so they can pay down their debt.Fine the employers, send the money to the law agencies to help with the cost.If the children have no American parents, then the children are illegals, have the same citizenship as the parents, and go home, banned for life the same as the parents.Use deadly force on the borders,as well.

Of course Lamar Smith cited Fair reports. Unfortunately, Fair reports have not value at all, because it is a hatred organization founded by John Tanton, a white supremacist who refers to immigrants as bacteria (legal ones and illegal immigrants, too). And of course they mention the cost (inflated and manipulated), but doesn't mention the benefits. I am very happy that idiots like Smith are taking this approach about immigration because very soon this position will bury the republican party forever. Besides why don't ask this azzhole, why his own state, Texas is doing so well with a similar numbers of illegal immigrants than California? It is because the problem in California are not illegal immigrants but union's people benefits.

This is what our lawmakers are doing instead of addressing the big problems. new california laws for 2011

•Possession of up to one ounce of marijuana becomes an infraction no more serious than a speeding ticket. Reducing the crime from a misdemeanor to an infraction means you can no longer worry about being arrested, have a criminal record or having to appear in court.
•The Amber Alert notification system can be used when there is an attack on a law enforcement officer and the suspect has fled.
•Anyone under 21 who wants to drive a motorcycle must complete a safety course before being issued an instruction permit
•Paparazzi cause driving recklessly while chasing celebrities can be charged with a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $2,500 fine.
•Parents can be charged with misdemeanors if their child misses too much school. Parents could face up to a year in jail and $2,000 fine.
•Impersonating someone online through fake social network pages, texting or e-mails becomes a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and a year in jail.
•Automakers and owners can place video recording devices on their vehicles which will can monitor when there is a crash or unusual vehicle motion.
•Courts can seize property used in human trafficking and traffickers can face civil penalties up to $25,000.
•State prison inmates who are incapacitated by health problems can shift some of their cost of care to the federal government.
•Plaintiffs and defendants can agree to one-day expedited jury trials.
•Foster youth are eligible for state services until they turn 21.

Huh - The largest problem California state lawmakers have is their lack of simple addition and subtraction skills. The budget of California has been blown apart by spending more than has been taken in - to a shameless degree.
All the factors you mentioned (plus some more) have influenced this debacle. At any moment during this fall into financial chaos the California legislators could have sharpened a pencil and with the aid of a piece of paper figured it out. They had the ability, at the very least, to question the spending and ask for restraint in that spending.

. Precisely because I am very well informed is that I said what I said. Here below is a poll from CNN that says 81% of americans support a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/28/larg... Besides, have you follow the news lately? A big bunch of those states which proposed an Arizona style law are getting back because they already notice the reality about financial, legal and social cost. Besides, why do you assume I am a democrat? About California numbers, I can tell you, and since you feel to be very skillful looking for information, please do it. The cost in food stamps provided to American Citizens children whose parents are illegal is about 600 million a year in California, this amount is 1/10 of the total cost for the whole group of recipients of food stamps (Antonovich's report and California budget office). About health care, for every dollar spent in average in an illegal immigrant, the state spend 6 dollars in average (it is important to understand what "average" for this matter means) in american citizens and legal residents. And hispanic immigrants are 50% less likely to need health care than whites and african americans. Use your skills to find the information in the Institute of Public Policy of California and "the Health affair" report, the most respected organization in health public policies in the country. About the education cost, there is not reliable information since the school system doesn't have records about it. If you wish to rebut anything I wrote here feel free to do it, but don't waste your time if you are going to bring Fair, numberusa, Cis. Or any other John Tanton organization because that is not reliable information. I guess you laugh a lot due your lack of information about the illegal immigration issue.

Correct.
But that does not just make them all legal……A path to citizenship is way different that just granting all citizenship.

And you forgot to mention that……..LOL

A poll released Wednesday shows that nearly 60 percent of Americans support Arizona's controversial new immigration law.
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/n...
or

New poll finds majority of Americans see illegal immigration as a “serious problem

Poll Shows Most in U.S. Want Overhaul of Immigration Laws

Wrong………Even more states are joining in on AZ style laws

Arnie was a republican but he was still a far left loon?????

1/10 of any amount saved is a savings and when you are broke you need to cut spending anyway you can….
People like you would just rather Americans suffer the cuts instead of illegal invaders…….

1/6 of the cost of healthcare saved would go a long way in turning the state from bankrupt to solvent..

When you go into a classroom with 35 children and only one teacher and 40% of the kids are un documented the quality of education would be a lot higher for the 60% of documented students if the teacher did not have to deal with the 40% and could focus on the 60%.......
Now take in to consideration the fact that many of the undocumented can’t speak English so the teacher has to spend a larger portion of the time with the 40% than the 60%.

So you will post from the Huffington post one of the FAR left news sources but will refuse to look at anything from the other side???
Typical of a far left loon……any news that is not far left must be a lie…………LOL
That makes you a sheepoles……..
And my guess is that you are a far far left sheepoles……….

Did you notice that in my polls I included right, middle and left news sources???

Oh, I thought you were going to use real news outlets but instead you're using a poll from CNN and a link to The Huffington Post. Then of course you turn around and say FAIR, NumbersUSA and CIS are not reliable sources. I bet you place great faith in what the SPLC spews as "hate group" information as well.
