At least the guy resigned you got to give it to him for that. Not like some of our democratic friends.

Your slam is silly; but I agree with your point.

Mr. Lee made a foolish, testosterone driven mistake (who hasn't) but his was all too public.
And he had the good grace, and decency to keep his foolishness from becoming an issue.

And, I do believe that this type of foolishness ought not lead to political death. I do not feel that an individual's pecadillos are relevant, unless it intrudes on his/her responsibilities as a public servant.

Yes, they have so little to do that they have plenty of time to waste on such activiies.

I agree but he didn't open a gay brothel at his pad, get oral sex in his office,or not pay his taxes for the past 10+ years. Those persons should be hounded day and night until they resign and never step in any public office or public service again.

At least the GOPasaurs are focused like a laser on "jobs, jobs, jobs". Little did we know they meant blow-jobs!

Christopher Lee? Isn't he a little old to be doing this sort of thing? I didn't even know we'd elected a British horror film star to Congress...:)

I agree to a point. Was his resignation voluntary or involuntary?

I'm sure more information will probably come out in the next day or months to come, until then I guess I'll wait until I take my hat off to him.

I don't think a personal lapse in judgement ruins a person for life especially if its not a criminal act.

This sounds like a personal issue to be resolved between the Congressman and his wife.

It's not as if he's a sitting President... wetting his cigar between the haunches of a young intern in his DC office during business hours... and then later denying it on national TV.

Also, he doesn't have an army of sympathetic colleagues and media outlets circling the wagons and coming to his defense either.

No, he's a man of honor, elected to office by honorable constituents who demand nothing less than honorable corrective action on his part.

January 26. 1998 - Unlike Clinton, "I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time, never."

On Aug. 17, 1998 - Bill Clinton testified before a grand jury that he had had an “inappropriate” relationship with former intern Monica Lewinsky.

or

October 13, 2007 - John Edwards, "The story is false. It's completely untrue, ridiculous."

"I've been in love with the same woman for 30-plus years," Edwards added, about his wife Elizabeth, who is suffering from incurable cancer, "and as anybody who's been around us knows, she's an extraordinary human being, warm, loving, beautiful, sexy and as good a person as I have ever known. So the story's just false."

August 08, 2008 - John Edwards admitted in a statement that he had an affair and that he "made a serious error in judgment" but denied he fathered a child or that he'd paid her off.

Jan. 21, 2010 - Former presidential candidate John Edwards abandoned his long denial that he had fathered a child during an affair with a campaign aide and admitted today that he is the father of the almost 2-year-old girl.

This all says volumes when it comes to Congressman Christopher Lee resigning after sending a "semi-naked" photo to a Craigslist woman. At least he was up-front about it and did the right thing by resigning. I give him credit for his integrity for not lying to us.

As you wingnuts keep saying of Bush, Clinton hasn't been PResident for a looooonnggg time. Nice job of pretending that your cheating, lying Representative has "honor," though. I'm sure he appreciates the spin!:)

Thank goodness that he actually admits that what he did was wrong instead of lying about it & trying to weasel his way out of it to stay in office! He didn't try to redefine 'sex' either.
