I was hoping she would lose and the Republicans would go right on thinking that everybody wants to kill medicare. Now they have a year and a half to hide what they are really about.

It will be amusing to watch the 'spin'from this win..getting dizzy already Yup, The republicans can surely read the American people, and the teabaggers are offended that THEIR medicare was going to be eliminated....real bright and thoughtful people! Carry on, doing a great job for the Democrats.

Upstate NY, which was a vibrant, bustling part of the country, but left it due to the lack of career opportunities. Eastman Kodak and many other corporations moved to states like Tennessee, due to crippling taxes in New York. Property, state, and local taxes there are exorbitant. Many parts of New York State look now like ghost towns. Some of the states in New England are in a similar situation. You've run everyone out of the central valley of California and nothing left but illegal aliens, you make them tons of promises, allow them to vote and think it's what the rest of America wishes? LOL

Just like the dems, run everyone out of an area, elect who they want and then tell the rest of us that this is how America thinks. You'll find out different, soon. Real soon!

New York's 26th District has been a Republican stronghold for years. It voted for George W. Bush in 2004 and for John McCain in 2008, and in 2010 re-elected Chris Lee with 73 percent of the vote.

The social security, medicare, medicaid, bubble was predicted by most economists to go bust in the near future if we didn't plan for it. So instead, the GOP cut taxes and shifted focus for the previous ten years to gay marriage and spent on their pet projects. Now their solution is to cut Medicare/Medicaid out entirely. These old people have worked years to contribute to it and now the GOP is going to come in and say, "you don't get any of it because we can't afford it". Go back and try again Ryan. Alternatively, we can vote the Dems back in and clean up the medicare mess....even if it means letting the Bush Tax Cuts expire.

My understanding of all this could be wrong. So I am open to anyone who wants to enlighten me on Medicare and Medicaid. All I know is that old people do not like what Ryan and the GOP is proposing.

The Republicans must have thought since they massacred the Dems in 2010 that the people were willing to follow them back off the cliff. Apparently they came to the wrong conclusion. Now they are stuck with their idiotic idea.
We will see if this was an important election by watching how many Republicans distance themselves from the Ryan plan.
By the way where are all those jobs the Repubs promised the American people? Get that unemployment figure down to about 3 to 4% and that will help solve the Medicare problem. All they have to do is what they promised they said they would do in 2010. Simple.

Does the GOP/TEA Birther McCarthyist really think that the majority of Americas make 7 figures a year, have health insurance, and can afford to put food on the table every day without any help from the government?

If the GOP/TEA Birther McCarthyists want to wage class warfare on the working middle and poor class I'm sure their message back to them is "Bring 'em on!"

Oh well, just another dushbag feminist.

Unless Hussein Obama gets his 40 Million illegal Mexicans and 35 Million illegal muslims by 2012, the Republicans are going to clean house.

Dushbag feminists like Boxerface, Feinstain, Polusi, and such, will return home to bake cookies and continue to boycott products such as Vagisil and Summer Eve.

The White House will be cleaned and fumigated with industrial strength Lysol.

Let the Bush Tax Cuts expire for EVERYONE. That would be a good start. Both parties incurred massive amounts of debt. Both parties need to pay for it instead of kicking the debt can down the road for future generations to pay for it---our children are going to pay for it not necessarily through debt and higher taxes but also through cuts in education etc....just to pay for our spending.
