I have a question. I would like the informed people here, Salty Tim, Deja Vu and Wonderz, to please answer some questions I have been unable to get. My son has no insurance coverage, no job and is 21 years old. Since Obama said everyone will have to get health coverage, how can he pay for this health coverage? We are barely able to cover the mandatory car insurance for him, and I haven't worked in 9 months. I have tried and tried to get some answers but no one has one. And no, we can't afford Cobra and I couldn't cover him anyway. HELP!
Tell your son to either:

A. Join the Military.

B. Enroll in a UC, CSU, or CC program and obtain either a BS or AA degree.

C. Join a trade union as an apprecentice and work your way up to journeyman.

D. Start his own business. "Find a need and fill it." "Build a better mouse trap."

In other words, get your son off his arse, set goals, and accomplish them.

Quit asking what your country can do for you and start showing what you can do for your country.

I've been a republican for most of my life. President Obama gave a positive objective solution to the problem we have with our health care system. I can tell you that I have medical insurance. The only insurance that is available in Humboldt County as a retiree. But, I have to wait for my insurance company to approve my doctor's recommended medical tests or procedures before I can get them because they determine if the test is "medically necessary" not my doctor. Plus I have to pay 20% and a $2500 yearly deductible before the insurance company will pay anything. By the way, they also just raised my monthly premiums. Based on my situation, I think Obama is on the right track. We can't wait for further discussion like Patrica Welch and other republicans suggest. Based on the republicans recent rhetoric I may start voting as a democrat.

Now see here, this is a Republican who has been stiffed by his health insurance company, and this is the ONLY kind of Republican who is for change. Even to the point of considering changing parties. I say, every staunch Republican is simply an I.me.mine person who hasn't yet been stiffed and has no imagination that can conceive of it.

"I am not the first president to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last," said Obama."
To bad it is an Un constitutional cause. But Obama doesn't care. Screw the law, Obama want's it. OK let's flip it, did you support Bush on some of his desires?

I wanted to think Mr Obama was a big man. He turns out to be an uber narcissist with meglomaniacal dreams.

And that is a special combo

It is 'Un constitutional' because...? Seems to me it is only unconstitutional when the Supreme Court determines it to be so. You may believe it to be unconstitutional but you certainly don't come across as a Supreme Court Justice type.

I don't suppose you would want to cite which articles of the constitution his proposals conflict with, huh?

And what about the Declaration stating that among our unalienable rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? If a corporation can withhold payment for treatment or care that will save your life, isn't that withholding life?

The Declaration isn't law. And you are referring to insurance not healthcare. Do you have any ideas or do you exist to ask odd questions that make you think you are smart?

Easy there - you have to give respect if you expect it back. You said Obama's proposal was un-constitutional. Back it up if you can, and cite the article.

You seem to be ducking the question. You have made the statement,“To bad it is an Un constitutional cause.” First, I am not sure how a cause can be unconstitutional. Given we ignore that, please gives us specific constitutional reference and related court decisions that would lead you to think Obama’s ‘cause’ might be unconstitutional.
