There Todd Platts is again, on the aisle, highly visible and wanting to shake the President's hand. At least he recognizes greatness when he sees it. Now if would only cross the aisle and vote for healthcare reform, rather than be on the losing side of history in this vote.

As Obama stated-"It is a morale imperative" and he also suggested that emapthy for our fellow American isn't partisan. Shouldn't be, but lately, the Republicans haven't shown that they care about the uninsured, those with pre-existing conditions, insurance companies that drop you when you have a bad diagnosis or don't cover costs so that even the insured go bankrupt when dealing with catastrophic illness. They're very good at scaring the uniformed public with death panels, loss of their own health insurance, charges of socialism.

It's time for both parties to get together and pass historic healthcare reforms. Stop fearing the future.

Sunseeker - you are absolutely correct. However, Mr. Platts will never do anything that would mess up his standing with the higher ups in the Republican party. Every time I've written him, I've received a "thanks but no thanks", we need to take our time, there's no hurry for health care reform, yada, yada, yada. Oddly enough this gentleman recently claimed in a newspaper article to have previously been a Teamster (when talking about the employee free choice act) but when you go to his website, the only jobs he ever claims to have there are government political positions since he graduated from law school. Let's face it, the man has political ambition and will follow political hacks as opposed to doing what is right for his constituents. He doesn't care that a large portion of his constituents are dying because they cannot receive the health care that they need to live. He only cares about the next election. Sad. So sad.

You are a moron! So tell us who is dying because they can't get health care? The answer is NO ONE! Even illegals get free care. You must be an ACORN plant!

When I tuned in last night, my first thought was "where will Todd be?" Seriously, he always manages to work his way to the front row just to get his picture taken shaking hands with the President. He is the classic suck-up. Away from the press, he trashes the President, but when the cameras are on, he'll climb Mt. Everest to be seen with him. During the inauguration, he almost crushed a few of his peers trying to get close enough to shake Bill Clinton's hand.

Regardless of party - Anything the government gets it hands into fails, Post Office, Social Security, Medicare, Fanny May - Freddie Mac, Bailouts and Stimulus Programs and the list goes on.

Itís not about what President Obama said last night it is what he DID NOT SAY or reading between the lines of his speech... I do not trust him or any other liberal lawmaker any further than I can throw them - they sound good while lying to your face.

If this health reform was so great Obama and all of Congress would also go on the plan, BUT NO they will stick with their Over The Top plan they now have and funded by the taxpayers...

Get Ready - it this health reform passes - PREPARE TO BEND OVER with new taxes and rules which will control your life...

The American public -- so foolish and stupid.......

Doesnt look like the public is bending
over to me,they are fighting back.Every country
needs some kind of government, what do you suggest?
Do you have a better plan?Let the people see your
proposal and judge it themselves.Maybe its a good
plan.
