I think cravins is represents the values of Southwest Louisiana. I hope people give him consideration when election time is here. I do believe Cravins has the ability to represent us well. He is pro life, pro gun, against taxes, for education, wants to fix our coast and more importantly believes working american should have an affordable health plan and children should not go without health coverage. I do not know Mr. Boustany but if you look at his voting recorded he has supported big corporations and voted against health insurance expansion for working families. I think he is from Lafayette and represents Lafayatte Republicans well but does not represent his entire district. He continues to vote along party lines. Senator Cravins is more of a bi partisian political figure. That is what we need is change in Washington.

Good Luck to Both Canidates I admire anyone who runs for public office..

I would guess the answer is something like " you are too simple minded to understand world economics and the forces that come into play that drive the costs of imported goods." Or at least it should be.

We need a republican the demos control the house, senate, and soon the presidency. Keep Dr. Boustany. Also cravins is a liberal- that means more welfare, section 8, etc.

With or without Cravins, welfare and section 8 is around forever.

I like Cravins, he has proven that he is capable and qualified, he can work with Republicans, Democrats, Independants.

What we have however we have a political process that allows us to choose who we will vote for and for what reasons, we all have them. I choose to be a supporter of Donald Cravins Jr.

No comment on Boustany.

I applaud Cravins for his efforts to help autistic children. We need more people with a heart in government.

Although I don't find that he is liberal at all. Where are you getting that information? He is pro life and a hunter like members of my family. He is a good guy and will give Boustany a run for his money.

Cravins, Jr. doesn't hunt. He claims to be pro life but clings to a party that likes to kill. He is about as liberal as one can be. One thing that can be credited to Cravins, Jr. is that he will say whatever he has to say. Cravins, Jr. is deceitfull just like his dad. He will not draw the votes that his daddy did. Another attempted power grab.

I hear that after Don Jr.is defeated on election night, that the wheels will be in motion to unseat him as State Senator next, there is a candidate already in line to run, from what I was told this candidate has some huge endorsements HE's just waiting for the right time, I can't say who it is right now, but he is a popular person whom is well liked and well respected in the community. Oh and last but not least this guy is friends with the candidate that's in line to be the next MAYOR OF OPELOUSAS, SO HELLO 2010 GOODBYE DON JR.AND DON SR.

Cravins Sr. and Jr. are both good, decent people. It is not about power or prestige with the Cravins', Jr. is an attorney, well educated. I don't see there being a problem with wanting to assist your state to a higher level. One thing that can certainly be assured, when elected he will be for all the people not just a select few.

GO CRAVINS! And please stop of the hating and being so envious.

You are right. Cravins is well educated. Dr. Boustany is more educated. Dr. Boustany has done a great job, and deserves to keep his seat.

They are both good, decent, people.

My vote goes to Dr. Boustany.
