President Barack Obama told U.S. governors attending a luncheon Monday that they are cutting too much funding for education and need to make reforms while continuing to invest in the future of America's students.

Back to the subject. The federal government gave the states a total of $393,981,456.00 for "migrant student education" and $733,530,000.00 for "English learner education" in 2011. This is just the federal spending directly to immigrant children who are primarily illegal or children of illegals born in the U.S. At a time when the federal government is eliminating grants for math and science and teacher improvement among others grants to migrant worker and English learner education have not been touched. How can Obama chide the states for cut backs while eliminating federal grants for real education for American children and not touching grants targeted at illegal aliens?

I don't like to respond to your posts since you are a very bad person, but in this case I just have to ask where in the world you got your numbers from? They certainly were not covered in the link you provided.

Seriously $393 Billion for "migrant student education" and $733 Billion "English learner education".

In 2011 the US spent a total of $159.3 billion for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Combined.

Do you really expect anybody to believe it cost more than 4.5 times the cost of TWO WARS to teach English to anybody and nobody but you noticed this?

Obviously your head is so far up your anal orifice you can't see the forest for the trees.

The link the poster provided most certainly *did* provide those numbers. Even "Juan" was smart enough to find them.

Migrant Student Education is covered on page 3, and the first column is 2011 actual costs ($393,981,458). Page 17 has the English Learner Education stats ($733,530,000). So, yeah, these illegal aliens are bankrupting us, as they cost more for one year than two wars combined for the same year's time.

Why don't you pay for your precious illegal alien pets? I'm sure you could afford them and all their special needs. <rolls eyes>

So you are another mouthbreather who believes we spend close to five times more on English lessons then we spend on two wars combined. And nobody else has noticed.

How silly.

Those figures come directly from the U.S. Department of Education.

They aren't provided by some far right leaning group or newspaper or blog or anything else you can discredit.

So what you're saying is that the U.S. Department of Education is making up those figures? And why would they feel the need to publish made up figures?

Your ignorance is abysmal; don't advertise it.

Well, by all means, explain what motivations the U.S. Department of Education would have to make up figures.

If you can disprove those figures, please do so -- with a valid source, of course.

If you cannot disprove them, then STFU because they come from a valid governmental source with no reason to make up figures. I am certain they have to provide information on how they obtained those figures before they can just go publishing them for the world to see.

There *are* checks and balances in place, and there's no motivation to make up figures related to education, only to be proven wrong and end up looking stupid.

Waiting for your proof that they are incorrect. Merely repeating yourself with no basis for it and no proof of other figures just proves you to be the tool you obviously are.

I can't explain why you can not read them properly. Maybe it is because you were home schooled.

It's clear YOU can't read them properly, because your post kept babbling about BILLIONS, when those figures are in the MILLIONS.

You might want to go back to school. Apparently MY education is just fine. I know the difference between billions and millions.

Yeah, king kumbayah wants his favorite subjects - illegals - to get special treatment so they can learn to read someday and vote a straight demographic ticket. This requires states to unnecessarily spend lots of funds to educate the children of illegal foreigners who hate this country and who will raise those children to hate this country. Way to go wannabe monarch. Can you say,'kill the USA?'
