This is a defining moment in Rubio's future political career to determine if Rubio HAS a future political career. Rubio has got to come up with something halfway plausible regarding immigration reform that conservatives will accept or GET OFF THE POT. Even a, "the scumbag democrats lied to him regarding every aspect of the bill and having reviewed their track record on their promises over the last 50 years he can see now that the marxist scumbag democrats would certainly never keep any promises that they made on any aspect of the bill," statement would help.

I am glad that he showed his true colors, and that people have become sickened by his blowhard approach to reform. He's not the darling any more.

And i said the same thing about that "rising star" after his speach at the 2004 conventions. But you are indeed correct.

It has everything to do with words he said before he was elected. He will be a good tea party guy now. he did his elitist controlled job. Just like so many other false conservative men and women elected who give in on one or two issues, the issues pass and they say they did well come election time. America has closed the door at times to immigrants. It throttled back depending on the health of the economy. We don't want to hear that. But for decades now it has been stuck open. Through good and bad times. And we are in an extended bad time now. Will last for years and more.

I guess finding an unknown, minority, with no experience or moral convictions that nobody had ever heard of then selling him/her to the party as "presidential material" does not work on educated voters. Sadly there are not enough educated voters.

You can say that again. There aren't enough educated voters.
I believe that they aren't being educated on purpose by our liberal education system in order to keep them in the dark so they will vote for anything the candidates falsely promise as long as they think it is free instead of voting for the best interests of our nation as a whole and how it will affect the future of it.
Most uninformed voters are focused on their own instant gratification rather then our own nation, which most of them know nothing much about or how we came to be.
Most of them, just like Obama, have no sense of value and consider our nation's constitution as "just a piece of paper" able to be easily disposed of just like the cheap crap that they buy (and waste)
There is now a whole culture built around these premises and IMO it is sickening.
If you don't believe me ask your local trash collector.
You will get an earful.

Since this thread is about Rubio after all a few additional comments: Rubio endorsed a VERY BAD immigration reform bill as if it were the answer to Americas immigration problems. Rubio actually lied to conservatives about the bad immigration reform bill. He was also clearly out played by some rancid leftist democratic politicians, schumer for one, and has to go to the back of the class, maybe to never emerge again.

That Awkward Moment When The Tea Party Rally Gets Overtly Racist

Earlier this week, tea party activists and GOP lawmakers gathered near the Capitol to rail against an immigration reform bill passed by the Senate.

While the event was linked to a number of controversial figures, including an organizer who has argued for eugenics and called African-Americans a "retrograde species," that didn't deter Republicans like Rep. Steve King (Iowa) and Sens. Jeff Sessions (Ala.) and Ted Cruz (Texas) from showing up to join the chorus against a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

When Ken Crow -- a co-founder of the Tea Party Community -- stepped up to the microphone, however, George Zornick of The Nation said he was taken aback by the talk of "breeding" and racial purity that followed.

The transcript:

From those incredible blood lines of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington and John Smith. And all these great Americans, Martin Luther King. These great Americans who built this country. You came from them. And the unique thing about being from that part of the world, when you learn about breeding, you learn that you cannot breed Secretariat to a donkey and expect to win the Kentucky Derby. You guys have incredible DNA and donít forget it.

UPDATE: The Center for Immigration Studies, the nativist group that organized Monday's rally, has posted Crow's entire speech online. It includes a reference to the Bill Pullman's iconic speech in the 1996 blockbuster "Independence Day."

You are out of your mind. No one lied to Rubio but he LIED to us.

His campaign here was about deporting illegals so that our hospitals can clear up, not go bankrupt, free up labor jobs, free schools up , etc , etc .

Rubio once elected straddles the fence, burn the candle at both ends and in the end BETRAYED Florida .

He is only out for himself .

You might want to forgive and forget but Florida voters will not .

He know refuses to even discuss the matter and everyone of voters which has emailed him has gotten an absurd reply which doesn't answer a thing .

While he ran for office he was very specific but now he is no better than any other BS RINO.

We need REAL deportation not never ending speech after speech which does not do a thing .

Rubio is no fool he is a slick lawyer, he knew EXACTLY what he was doing and it is called "Trying to get much of the pro-illegal Hispanic vote" .

He went after their vote because he was looking at a Presidential run .

Rubio has no conviction and never had it .

Florida hospitals are being bankrupt by illegals , Rubio could not care less.

Nobody is really going to refute what you you are saying about Rubio. Yeah he was going after the latino vote. He was certainly pandering to the latino vote like a scumbag rancid leftist democrat would do. Rubio has definitely screwed himself. However, you seem to refuse to accept that Rubio was played like a rube by scumbag rancid leftist democrats. It's almost like maybe you are a scumbag rancid leftist democrat yourself refusing to speak against scumbag rancid leftist democrats?
