Full story: The Vail Trail - Lifestyle trends in the Vail valley

Fewer immigrant workers are coming to Colorado because of tougher state laws, but the agricultural, ski and hotel industries are having a tougher time finding seasonal workers, Gov.

Boo hoo. You've got an entire state full of illegals immigrant workers. Immigrant workers? How many that previously came bothered to leave? Vail is a very wealthy area of Colorado. Don't tell me the pay can't increase for legal workers who're out of a job.

At a minimum, Ritter said, successful immigration policy would “bring illegal immigrants out of the shadows.”“Find a way to acknowledge their existence here and the fact they’re employed and contributing to the economy,” he said.

In fact, a successful immigration policy would round up and deport all the illegals.
We already acknowledge that they are here, some are employed and the rest are draining the financial and social welfare resources of most of the states.

And let us not forget producing anchor babies as fast and with as many woman as possible. For probably 15 years I visited Colorado. I stopped making 3-5 trips a year after it became clear Colorado wants to be Little Mexico. Apparently thieves are more important to Ritter, than those of us who SPENT money in his state.

Oh, don't even get me started on anchor babies..... in my opinion, that is a flagrant violation of the Constitution.
I'm glad I live in a state that has the authority to enforce federal immigration laws, and it does too. This is not one of those touchy-feely, weenie liberal states when it comes to illegals.

It has nothing to do with being a Democrat, it has to do with being a sell out politician. Ritter is a typical clueless 'public servant' that only serve the special interests and himself, ie.. staying in power.
I wish idoits like Ritter would at least get some new quotes, we've been hearing the 'out of the shadows' term for several years now.

In reality-" bringing them out of the Shadows" has a LARGER detrimental effect on the USA_as they would ALL now be applicable toward Federal and state Public assistance than they ALREADY drain from the Governments' coffers, in disproportion to their ( illegal) minimal contributions-
As to the Constitutional Issue of citizenship/ability to stay- ONLY a Constitutional amendment would be able to solve that.
The only acceptable, and correct way to handle the Problem is if the FEDS would actually , and Unilaterially Apply the Laws that exist, strea, line the court process, or do away with it already - which impedes the deportation, and Deport Illegal Aliens, adding fines and STIFF Prison terms to Business that Hire Illegals- they can mandate a check for firearms purchase,or drivers license renewal with electrronic fingerprints etc, why not with employment validity as it applies to citizenship?

Hi there. I will only be there for a day or so.....I may be moving to Vermont in March. Going there to have a look... Just can't seem to ever wind up in a warm place. Went to the Mc Call Winter Carnival with friends yesterday. The sculptures were getting pretty droopy from the heat. Thirty five degrees.... But it was still nice.
