If this is so good, why did not anyone ask him why he and his other cronies get to opt out of this huge tax increase.

Hopefully Mr. Thompson will realize the error he made in November.

One of two incumbants that I more or less supported is our mayor - got burned on that one.

Vote em all out, every single incumbant. Send the message

I am with you 100% in voting ALL incumbents out! These career politicians have been on the public dole far too long and the most they do while in office is raise money to get reelected and to find ways to get more money from their constituients. I do not feel I am fairly represented especially when it comes to this healthcare debacle. As far as I know there is NO PROVISION in the bill to stop insurance companies from raising all their premiums. And of course they will -- medicare included! If the government imposes fees or takes away federal money who do you suppose pays? Well, not the insurance companies, I assure you. It is we, the taxpayers, the ones that we are mandated to buy insurance.
And Obama said we can keep our current doctors and healthcare plan, but who can wait so much longer to see their regular physican, and who can pay the higher premiums? To say this new healthcare mandate is a money saver is lying through their teeth.
There are a few good provisions in this bill and the politicians always point this out but all in all it does too much too soon without any thought on the long term effect. I for one will never vote for a democrat again. All they want is to redistribute wealth and I am fresh out!

Odds are your current personal doc will not be in practice in 2014 when it all kicks in - I've talked to several and most of them are considering retiring or finding other work.

Please note, Mr. Thompson chose to speak only to "a collection of Yolo County officials". I suspect he doesn't have the courage to speak to a Woodland town hall meeting. He wouldn't do it on the last break either.

I wouldn't talk to a conservative either. Like talking to a brick. Useless.

What a simplistic answer from a simplistic person. Wrong, however, as well as wrong-headed.
