"The African-American community is watching this president like a hawk," Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton said last week, after sitting through the Homeland Security Committee hearing on the matter. "We've lost the great non-violent heroes of the 20th century, and there is a sense of dread always in the African-American community about this president."

Really? And does the "African American community" hold special meetings and discuss their own special considerations and needs as opposed to other Americans of a different hue? Where "they" not concerned when Kennedy (the white guy) was assassinated? How about when Reagan (another white guy) was shot?

This race baiting is getting tiresome. If we eliminate discussion in regards to the color of the man's skin and focus on the position he holds, all Presidents should be treated equally.

Congress needs to investigate the Secret Service and their hiring practices.
Why is there a white man in charge of it!
We need a strong black presence to insure our Presidents safety.

Would you be okay with a Mulatto (Half white, half black) as head of the Secret Service like Obama is or not?

Yes we felt it! I was in class when our Teacher told us about Kennedy and we all cried and did not think of the color of his skin.We cried when Bobby was kill. We have only had White Presidents an felt it when Reagan was hurt.We were taught to respect the leader of our country. Please! we know there are a lot of people who want to kill him because of the color of his skin and that is a fact. No race card needed.

What would have happened if a white person would have said, "We need a strong white presence to insure our Presidents safety," when President
Bush was in office? CAN YOU IMAGINE THE "RACISM"
CALLS THAT WOULD HAVE COME? WE WOULD STILL BE
HEARING THEM. AL AND JESSE WOULD BE LAYING DOWN
IN TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE TO PROTEST.
This "race card" is WAY out of balance folks. It
is getting worse.
