Why do we have to spend an extra $225 million to watch China when we could once again do all of this making of drugs safe at home in the good old US of A? Another example of how we as Americans are losing. We really need our country back.

I say that we stop buying drugs made in China, or any other foreign country for that matter. The weak dollar has allowed China to get the upper hand in labor costs as well as buy up everything in the United States that isn't nailed down. Between our energy policy, our trade policy, and our monetary policy, we are truly screwed.
The first thing we need to do is tell the subprime borrowers and lenders that they are stuck. They created this mess and they can find a way out, sans US tax dollars. Next, raise the federal funds rate, not lower it. This will strengthen the dollar and drive down the price of commodoties, like corn, oil, and gold.

It's hard for me to fathom why on the one hand with drug prices so high in the US, the government pressured by the drug makers, are preventing people from purchasing drugs in Canada saying that it is because of their concern about drug safety. And here I read that the drug companies are buying drugs or drug components from China that are contaminated. China poisoned our pets by their disregard for quality and safety to maximize profit. Worse still China plagerizes and has no regard for copyrighting and any other concern of our corporate secrets. Why would the drug companies be buying there or collaborating with Chinese.... The answer is purely profit, profit, profit. It is a shame that safety is disregarded in the name of profit.
