As small as it might seem to some, this is one of the issues that drove people away from the Tyrant King to the New World.

Freedom and Liberty from government forcing you to do things against your religious beliefs. Imposing their religious standards or lack of, on you.

Obama is a dictator wannabe and a real POS. This is another example of government overreach that everyone was warning you about when a closet socialist was pimping himself as the Messiah before the election. He turned out to be nothing more than a common criminal and now Assassinates American Citizens and detains them indefinitely which is Treasonous and against everything the Constitution Stands for.

It's time to recognize that Obama is a disaster and should be arrested, tried and dealt with accordingly so future presidents do not attempt the same crimes thinking they are above the law.

It's a tough call for Catholics, but at least they know their collection plate money is going to a good cause, to fight healthcare, in the name of religious freedom. Mormons and Muslims will use the same religious freedom arguments to legalize polygamy.

It's a win win win for RELIGIOUS FREEDOM!

Yep, America was founded as a Catholic nation under the Vatican. We only were able to stop that when we adopted Mormonism. Thank Joseph Smith. NOW we have our new spiritual leader Bishop Rmoney!

I'm disappointed Bishop Rmoney refuses to talk about our nation's new religion.

If laws must be imposed I would rather government do it instead of a cult headed by a Hitler Youth member that covers up for pedophiles in its ranks and helped war criminals escape justice after WW2! As far as I'm concerned they can take their medieval beliefs and shove them!

God Bless Cardinal Dolan! Religious freedom is just one of our freedoms Barack Obama is trying to destroy!

Wait until all the other religions who agree join in!

I pray for the total destruction of the Roman Cult and the death of her pedophile hierarchy. Naturally they're anti-woman, they only like little boys.

Their opinion on birth control is utterly irrelevent, and if they try to become involved in U.S. politics, I say revoke their tax-exempt status and tax the shit out of their properties.

You can't be an observant Catholic and be a loyal American citizen at the same time. Impossible.

I couldn't agree more. America was founded as a Catholic nation under the Vatican. We only were able to stop that when we adopted Mormonism. Thank Joseph Smith. NOW we have our new spiritual leader Bishop Rmoney! Let's promote theocracy and no taxes for everyone, not just religions. The Mormon church can be our government. It's a bargain at 10 tithing. Forget 13.9% in taxes!!!

what the US needs is freedom FROM religion, not just freedom OF religion.
..
(when churches start paying taxes, and adhering to the laws of our nation, then they can have an opinion on this, until then, they should just mind their flock)

You don't understand. It's through the politicization of Catholicism that we can finally STRENGTHEN the power of Mormonism. A Mormon theocracy is our goal.

That's quite a hyperbole. They are fighting so they are not forced to pay for something that is against their religious beliefs. It's not quite as dramatic when you state it accurately.

If they are against birth control, then why don't we get rid of welfare and have the Catholic Church support all the welfare children that are costing we taxpayers a fortune?

They are against contraception as an institution. They are not advocating making contraception illegal.

The ends justify the means. You'll never be Pope, but you might have a chance at Mormon Bishop! That's where our fight for religious freedom will take us, or maybe we'll go the Sharia route. Pick your poison! It's just a matter of speech. I think they're all equally good, but I'm a bit more partial to Mormonism. It's trendy! The important thing is that all Catholics agree that this is what the church should be doing with the money it collects. After all, contraception is used by most Catholics.

ONLY because there would be even LESS people in church and LESS money collected. Sex without wanting to make a baby is a sin. What law is better than eternal damnation?
