Just like all other liberals.....when you know the American people are about to throw you out on your already sore little ass, you quit before they have the pleasure of showing you the door!

Finally, if only Boner would follow suit.
Career politicians are part of the problem, not the solution.

A shame; he's been a good and effective Congressman during his time in Washington, despite the continual and outrageous lies, smears, and homophobic attacks from the radical Right.

Thanks for your efforts on behalf of America, Barney! You did good.

He'd have easily been reelected. Like most Righties, you prefer to lie in order to attack and smear. It's all you've done through Frank's entire career.

America will be showing reTHUGlicans the door in 2012...:)

LMAO....you're kidding, right? Just what exactly were the lies, smears, and homophobic attacks? If you consider orchestrating the housing meltdown which then resulted in our economic meltdown, good and effective, then he was outstanding!

Barney is a bit worried about being put against a wall for his part in the housing bubble. Twenty liberal have already quit to six republican. They see Obama's internal polls too.

Barney Frank has been at the forefront of our fight for equal rights, but 32 years in Congress is long enough for anyone. I wish him a happy retirement.

I'm sure the 4th district in Massachusetts will elect another Dem to replace him.

Debbie "Haiti is FL's 68th county" Wasserman Schultz plan is to abandon the 'uneducated whites' in the 2012 election.

The white working class is being abandoned by Obama!

As usual Harv, you are a bubble off center. Barney is quiting for one reason, once republican take the senate also, accountability will raise its angry fist at those that caused this melt down. Barney is trying to get under a rock befoe that fist hits home. His district is also being revamped and it will encompass more republican voters, so Barney like most liberals is getting the hell out of Dodge before the playing field is leveled.

Harvey stop drinking so early in the A.M. I know you wouldn't be thanking Franks for doing a great job if you weren't buzzed. After all how can someone thank a person for the Fannie M ay-Freddie Mac meltdown (along with Dodd)that is the main reason for the mess the country is in unless they were either high or just plain nuts?

I agree with you 100%

Even though his district was made somewhat redder because of redistricting, it's still overwhelmingly Blue and shouldn't have given him any problems. He coasted to an 11% margin in 2010's red sweep.
