Charles Koch wrote that to battle the “threat of government over-spending and to change the balance of Congress in November,” participants must be “committed to an unprecedented level of support.”

For Ryan, that meant campaign cash. For Cliff Asness, it meant buying access to House leadership.

We own Ryan.

Yes, it is - and Ryan and his gangster reTHUGlican buddies are on the OTHER side.

"Enlightenment" of any kind is their enemy, as their policies aptly demonstrate. He does get kudos for his pretentiousness and faux intellectualism, though. Taking kind of a chance there, since most Righties are anti-intellectual (again, in keeping with their anti-Enlightenment position).

BRODY MULLINS, MELANIE TROTTMAN and CAROL E. LEE
WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama and the Democrats' main campaign arm raised more than $70 million from July to September, somewhat less than in the prior three-month period but well ahead of similar Republican efforts.

Mr. Obama's total includes $42.8 million raised by his re-election campaign and $27.3 million that the president helped raise for the Democratic National Committee. The total compares to $86 million that the Obama campaign and DNC raised from April to June. Funds collected by the DNC will be spent mostly to re-elect Mr. Obama.

Teabaggers have been doing that since the tea party was formed.
If you're not a teabagger, you're an Anti-American communist.
Then there is this:
Everyone knows that Tea Party revolutionaries fear and hate socialism about as much as the Antichrist. Which is funny, because the Tea Party movement’s dirty little secret is that it owes its existence to the grandaddy of all Antichrists: the godless empire of the USSR.
What few realize is that the secretive oil billionaires of the Koch family, the main supporters of the right-wing groups that orchestrated the Tea Party movement, would not have the means to bankroll their favorite causes had it not been for the pile of money the family made working for the Bolsheviks in the late 1920s and early 1930s, building refineries, training Communist engineers and laying down the foundation of Soviet oil infrastructure.
Poor teabagger.
Attention Wall Street Communist!!! Yes indeed you have flipped your lid, douchebagger.
Once again...Your sleazy attempt to connect the USSR to Koch in the early part of the past century and to The Tea Party in 2011 is a deranged joke.
Let me educate you and your like minded history illiterate libelous pals...The entire USA, The entire UK et al allied with Stalin during WWII. That fact alone cancels your self-serving knee jerk assumption that you can single anyone out from the era like you and your ilk have done to the relatives of the Koch brothers. Furthermore, any oil related assistance provided by the USA, Koch et al to the USSR prior to WWII obviously was key for the USSR to defeat Nazis. The Cold War began in 1946, douchebagger.
You are one pathetic libelous runt talking out your butt stooping lower than a snake's belly trying to connect dots that obviously cannot be connected. You are a useful idiot for the communist party sleazebags who are stinking up American politics, those dots connect.

You dummycrats just don't get it. We need to get rid of pensions for police, figherfighters, teachers, factory workers, etc. We can no longer afford to be the greatest country in the world and pay average people what they used to get. We need to compete globally with countries that don't have tree-hugging environmental laws and union thug wages. If we want to compete, we have to do more with less. Stop dreaming this nonsense of an American dream. GET REAL and STFU! If you buy shyt made in China, that's the price you pay. Not so cheap anymore, right? Well, you learned too late, suckers, but don't worry. It won't be so bad, it will be like the frontier days again, Little House on the Prarie, Guns, God, and closet Gays. Life will be rougher, but on the bright side, life will be shorter. Don't even bother voting. Both parties are the same. I will vote for Bishop Rmoney, only because I support his social issues. I'm against contraception and I'm for polygamy. Good day!

Usually enlightenment has to do with science, but I guess it works for rote ideology as well.
