Seems better than saying No to everything - as in no cooperation for a year (McCain's mantra).

We're not against Teachers. Just their abuse of the system.

Polls turn on labor unions

Spurred by state budget crunches and an angry public mood, Republican and some Democratic leaders are focusing with increasing intensity on public workers and the unions that represent them, casting them as overpaid obstacles to good government and demanding cuts in their often-generous benefits.

Pelosi is teaching Obama the "california" method.

Rob, Steal, and Cheat private sector employees in return for millions in campaign support from greedy public employee unions.

Pelosi is making up for Obama's inexperience and really ratcheting up the Criminal Collusion between the Left and the tax slave funded Unions.

Uh OK we all need teachers I suppose....But we also need roads, sewer systems, bridges, modernized airports, hack proof power plants, when will they appropriate the monies needed for those things for the last thirty years? The multiplier effect from those employments would more than fund teachers in all the states and end State budget crisis.

If we are going to have Keynsian economics, lets at least do it right and maximize the multiplier.

Thank you President Obama, since I am not a rich Republican and can't send my kids to private school I am grateful that you kept their teachers employed and saved the kids from having to see their class size grow from 30 to over 50 students.

Does America need any more proof that the Republician party is NOT FOR WORKING PEOPLE. The 161 congressmen who voted AGAINST this (fully paid for BTW) measure that helps every state in the union, needs to be voted out of office.
The rich folks in this country send their childern to private schools, and do not care about the working class. Firefighters, police and other first responders get no respect from the rich until they need them.
The Republician party is for the corporations and the wealthist of Americans. They voted against measures to get small business loans and have no answers but "no". They would rather see Americans suffer to further their political cause of making the rich richer and holding everyone else down. All this to see the president fail NOT TO HELP THE PEOPLE THEY REPRESENT.
If you make less than $300,000 a year DON'T EVER VOTE REPUBLICIAN. They don't care squat for you. the Bush tax cuts have been in place for 10 years yet there are NO JOBS!!!!!The trickle down theory is not based on sound economic theroy and does not work.
Vote out every REPUBLICIAN IN NOVEMBER, THE COUNTRY WILL BE BETTER OFF FOR IT!!!!!

What does this administration do besides spend money? If he's not funnelling our hard earned tax dollars (for those of us who work and don't just ask for money while having babies and living off of welfare)to the people who abuse the system (Welfare recipients, Unemployed who are too proud to take a job at McDonalds, Union employees, illegal immigrants),he's taking vacations, trips that do nothing but send Michelle and their two ugly kids places they don't need to be. In the real world, we earn our money by working hard. We get vacations when we've actually earned them. In the real world, when we've done a good job, we keep our job...when we didn't, we lose it. Teachers? California? NOT DOING THEIR JOB! Obama...Haiti is looking for a new President. GO SCREW UP THEIR COUNTRY AND LEAVE MINE ALONE!!!

This bill does NOTHING to solve the roots of the problem. It is just a temporary band-aid that will hurt like heck when we rip it off.

The unions and their fat, unsustainable pension and healthcare benefits packages are part of the real problem. This needs to be addressed, otherwise we will continue to sink billions of dollars into this hole.

MediCal - well, there are just too many people on it (yes, including illegals). Reimbursement rates for doctors are pitifully low, requiring them to increase their rates on those of us who actually PAY for healthcare. This too needs fixin'.

RE: Rich Republicans - man, have y'all been duped. Most republicans sit solidly in the middle class in the Bible belt and the southern states. People making over $300k per year are a small fraction (less than 5%) of people in America. No party could survive if their membership was that small a slice of the American pie. think about it.

Spoken like a true dim bulb!!!! Everytime you spend billions on public sector the money does not recirculate, obviously your not smart enough to know what that means, But the private sector pays the taxes the money used for the public sector!! It's okay Obama's not smart enough to realize that either!!! The Bush tax cuts you detest provided the government with the biggest amount of tax revenue ever recorded in history ( check 2006)
so again you look like a complete moron! If the public sector didn't waste money like it was water then maybe, But the overbloated administration and people being provided for ( which you just want to continue to throw money at) is absurd!!!! This state has been run by Democrats forever how we looking dumba**!!! Get a clue. Sorry you made bad life decisions and blame the rich but look in the mirror and ask that guy why he's not rich he's your problem!!!

I see your third grade education didn't work. Your worried about an "overbloted adminstration". Where was this when the Bush tax cuts added trillions of dollars to the deficit and he started two wars he new he couldn't pay for? Where were you then?
Then you say we have been ruined by Democrats is Horsecrap and you know it. We have had a Republician Governor for 28 of the last 35 years, or have you such a short memory. The bottom line is that the richest 2% need to pay their fair share now.

As a Californian you know very well the liberal special interests run California. Sounds like you just want working people to pay your way. No wonder California is broke!
As for tax rates:

California collects income tax from its residents at the following rates.

For single and married filing separately taxpayers:
-- 1 percent on the first $7,168 of taxable income
-- 2 percent on taxable income between $7,169 and $16,994
-- 4 percent on taxable income between $16,995 and $26,821
-- 6 percent on taxable income between $26,822 and $37,233
-- 8 percent on taxable income between $37,234 and $47,055
-- 9.3 percent on taxable income of $47,056 and above.

I totally agree. The richest 2% are not paying their fair share.. they are paying way MORE than their fair share!!

And it's not just the top 2%... it's about the top 5% here in California. If you are making over $150K, you are getting reamed.

So, concerned citizen.. what would you say is the "fair share" of taxes for this income bracket? I'm really curious.

LMFAO... Are you serious?

"The Republician party is for the corporations and the wealthist of Americans."

Dude, where have you been hiding and drinking your Liberal Democratic snake oil?

The last I heard, the richest congressional districts in the country voted for Obama,

The wealthiest Americans and the Wall Street Banks gave twice as much to Oboma and his bunch of cronies in the Democratic Fascist Party.

"States with the highest per-capita income trend Democrat"
The states with the lowest per-capita income trend Republican,"

If Republicans are the "party of the rich," how could they be outspent by the party of the poor?

Democratic politicians themselves are, in many cases, stupendously wealthy.

Democrats now represent 57% of the 4.8 million households that had incomes of $200,000 or more in 2008.

Don't be an idiot and lie about who the real party of the rich is. They could care less about you little peons.
