Going into Syria without the Approval of Congress, or the UN would be a serious mistake. The President needs to force Congress to follow him. Americans need to see how their Representatives, and Senators voted on invading Syria..

So could anyone describe the advantages of having elections and elected officials aside from allowing other ambitious leaders wannabe have a chance to realize their dream to be a warmonger in chief?

Bet Obama wishes he had not returned the Bust of Winston Churchill now. It looks like only France will lend the President a hand in his new war. That isn't enough to make a difference.
