Are you somehow alleging or implying that somehow Steve Cooley a disengenous and self serving political hack? Are you implying he is "grandstanding" on the Bell case? How dare you!

Just because he would appear to be using his office in the Bell scandal in a way that cynically appears to further his political image, is no basis for the Star News to imply such things, is it? Of course you might think that because he appears to have completely blown off this scandal until the Times story finally boke the case wide open, that the Bell police officer "whistleblower", who was fired by this Bell mob, had been trying to get him to investigate for over a year? Maybe, you get that vibe, because it sounds just like the Temple City case, no action until it's already been in the news?

You seem to imply this "corruption" fighter might just another self promoting political opportunist, using this case to pander for our vote? I'm sure none of our "wannabee" leaders would ever do something like that, would they?

It's really too bad that the Dems didn't take this office seriously enough to nominate a serious alternative candidate? And, jsut maybe, this lack of worthwhile choices, for this important office, makes this race another good argument to have "none of the above" on the ballot.........?

The LA Times got this one by accident to be frank, doing a story about the "layoff" of the police in Maywood and contracting for other "services" with Bell. They started this as a whoa be our cities peice, and within a week uncovered this as another City of Bell scam "services" operation, to rake in more money for Bell's "services" from that tax base.

The LA Times "investigative" genuine reporting has been dead for years....only accidents like this, or dubious hit pieces, and newprint so thin you can't even do the crosswords in pen, or use it to line the cat box?

I disagree. The L.A. Times has done countless important investigative stories that have enlightened us L.A. residents for over a hundred years.

Steve Cooley MUST be elected Atty General.

His opponent Harris is the far left San Fran atty who sent violent convicted illegal alien felons to the Inland Empire rather than obeying the law and turning them over to ICE for deportation.

She is even more terrifying than Jerry Brown.
