<quoted text>If our government is in any way, shape or form corrupt, we only have ourselves to blame, we elect most of 'em. Our government does not and never has had absolute power over the vast majority of us and for better or worse, we are pretty much free to so what ever comes to mind. We elect governments to do the stuff for our various levels of social order that we as individuals can't always do for ourselves and that includes providing safety for ourselves, loved ones, neighbors etc because people are pretty much free to do whatever comes to mind and some of the things that come to the mind of others can be pretty scary. Sometimes they are better at than others and we are left to our own devices when it comes to defending ourselves and people should feel free to arm themselves, but that can't be an absolute right because some of the things that come to the mind of others can be pretty scary.
I have been around a long time. I have seen the "changes" taking place with the governmental powers. As time goes on, less people want to take responsibility for their choices in life, expect others to watch out for them and their kids; and all the while giving government more control. That breeds absolute power, and in no other administration have I seen the blatant disregards for freedom and disgusting over-reach. One man's need for big brother's watchful eye is another man's trampling of freedom.

With the corruption involved in this government, who are they to decide who is "crazy" and shouldn't own guns. Is that an accusation or a fact? Absolute power corrupts absolutely.......
Yes. Absolute unregulated gun ownership does corrupt absolutely.
you are completely correct.
Personally I believe anyone should be able to go and buy any gun they want to buy. That is just fine.
Ammunition on the other hand should be taxed at a rate of 400%.
Instead of making smokers and drinkers pay all the medical taxes in the US maybe gun owners should pay more taxes.
Yearly registration fees for all guns.
Yearly training for all gun owners, even those who do not carry
Super high taxes on ammunition.
Tax all the materials necessary for gun owners to make their own ammo.
And every time a gun owner goes wacko and shoots a bunch of people the taxes should go up 100%
Haave all the guns you want. But there should be high taxes on all Americans who choose to possess deadly force.
The second ammendment does not say gu ownership should be unregulated, or tax free. It just says you can have weapons if you so desire.

Why are you so hoplophobic? You seem to forget the fact that humans are PREDATORS. I am a well armed citizen because of that fact.

I am very happy you possess the power to kill with the pull of the trigger.
Chances are you will never have the oppurtunity to kill in your own defense. The good news is, one day you will be careless with your weapons, and that carelessness will result in the unfortunate death of an innocent American.
I would feel safer in America if gun owners were held to a very very hih standard of gun safety and regulation.
I am truly free. I have no guns.
You are a slave to your weapons, because one moment of carelessness with your weapons will result in accidental death.

Nice crystal ball you got there. You squeeze the trigger, never pull it. Your "freedom" is a figment of your imagination. Think that stalker recognizes your "freedom"? He only sees a victim, not a free civilian.

I ain't a scared buddy.
And even though you are armed and ready to go, it will matter very litte. You will never get your chance to kill legally...sorry but the crystal ball has foreseen it.

You're funny. What makes you think that is my prime directive? I don't hunt, I wouldn't want to shoot anyone, unless they wish to do me harm. I am a female, I already have a disadvantage in physical prowess over an attacker, so my weapons are my "equalizers".

Perfectly acceptable babe.
But, gun controls and regulation are on the way. IT won't be terrible, but some things will have to change.
It it hassles 10 million gun owners and manages to save 1 kid, then it is worth it.

Wake up. The only problem is United Way’s Sandy Hook School Support Fund webpage was created on December 11, 2012, three days before the massacre. The Sandy Hook incident WAS manufactured by this administration to promote their gun control measures. Your tin god Obama is up to his armpits in this.

Congressman Stockman was interviewed the other day, and not only will he introduce Impeachment Articles he will vote to shut down the government before he finances any more useless spending. We don't have a King, and the son of an african tribesman cannot take the guns by executive order. He can try, but they have to have a Constitutional Amendment. No way around it. Send the Army to my door? That would not be a good idea.

It settles nothing. Why do you always take everything at face value? I don't believe everything I read, nor hear from so-called authorities. Apparently you do, which makes you a sheep.

So how is that going?
Have the Impeachment hearings begun yet?
Bring on the witch hunt.
