Under the glare of an FBI investigation into a southeast Indiana grant program, a state lawmaker has resigned from a committee that recommends how to dole out millions of dollars in public riverboat casino funds.

Rep. Jud McMillin submitted his resignation from the Lawrenceburg Regional Grant Committee on Monday.

His action follows revelations in The Indianapolis Star that he and other government officials supported grants for companies to which they had close family or financial ties. In most cases, those connections were not disclosed.

The committee, which is composed of state and local officials, recommends how to spend $10 million a year in revenue from Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg. The grant program is intended to stimulate economic development in economically challenged Southeast Indiana

Is this lil' feller's Past, Present and Future colliding?
PRESENT: Current investigation for failure to disclose personal/financial ties which results in resignation.
PAST: Seems like he has issues with transparency started before he ever left Franklin County and spilled over to his PAST Ohio civil suit issues which included non-Zipper Closure and Sexting which resulted in resignation.
FUTURE: Looks bright for more of the same issues ahead since he doesn't seem to learn from his past escapades. He must be getting used to "investigations" by now.

Get a clue - DO NOT re-elect this creeper. He needs RESIGNED right out of office.

The problem is the system breeds corruption. A big pile of money draws out the thieves. I say get rid of the system. Changing the committee members just changes who the thief is.

I did notice that the picture in the paper of Deloris was with Judge Cox instead of that McMillin boy. On WRBI the picture was with the boy not the Judge. Anyone else notice this?

You must be on another team ! First you shook his hand or you lead everyone to believe so ! But you called him a crook ? So hey Jud anyone call you a crook to your face lately or not ? I'm sure they may have shook your hand while stabbing you in the back ( news paper included).....

I didn't shake his hand ! If he was smart he'd lay low. How did a newspaper stab him in the back by telling the truth ? He gave grant money meant for economic development to his mother. But first he gave her the movie theater so his name wouldn't be tied to it ! That is ridiculous !!! Are you that stupid ?? You don't see what a corrupt person he is ??? He is a snake in the grass !!

first your right they reported a STORY and to say a news paper would report it if it wasn't the truth .... Close your eyes really tight click your heels make us all believe ...News papers are a source of the past ! What happened yesterday ? Who cares ! All you have to do is rev up a computer and you can get all sides from more sources .... But I guess you can't start a fire with a computer like you can a paper ...
